George Lucas called American Grafitti a musical. None of the characters sang. But the whole movie was set to songs of the movie's era.

And even if they did sing in Joker 2. It's actually people that can sing well.

the issue is hiring a horrible actress to go toe to toe with Phoenix. as well as play an extremely complex character like Quinn.i have a feeling this is going to be bad and cringe worthy.

not really but someone with more experience known for being a "good acctress". so bascially the opposite of her. also bad actors or at elast inexperienced ones tend to stand out even more when put side to side on film with really good ones. i wont say now she will 100% be horendeous. but ill be the first to say "i saw it coming" if the film comes out and she makes it worse

My thoughts ...if it's a straight up musical with song after song...it's shit...1 musical number wouldn't be horrible... especially with an A list singer like Gaga. Also Gagas acting is actually pretty good in my opinion. If you didn't know who lady gaga was in A Star is Born, you would have thought she was this come out of nowhere actress who should be in more films.
