6/10 , critics are too kind

I just saw it, and it was good, not great.
A decent popcorn movie, but nothing that stays with you after the credits roll.
It was pretty much paint by the numbers stuff, but generally enjoyable.

It really needed a Sly cameo....and/or a Carl Weathers cameo, for fan service.

It was a pleasure seeing so many blacks on the screen! I would love more black films going forward.

6/10 is about right.
Directing felt uneven
The daughter story like was weak and boring
The fight dream sequence was out of place

Yeah what I gave it as well.

I couldn’t believe Rocky wasn’t even mentioned. There was a bit where Adonis said to Damian something like ‘These things don’t just happen overnight’ and Damian retorts ‘They did for you’ and Adonis should have been like ‘That’s because I had Rocky.’

Also I didn’t really feel much emotion throughout it at all, the first 2 Creed films had a lot more heart to them.

I think that's right where I would put it, 6/10 sounds correct. It was entertaining and I thought Majors' acting was great. Surprisingly I found Adonis to be the least interesting character and MBJ was kind of stale throughout. There were some creative choices, such as the weird things going on during the last fight and no Rocky cameo, that I didn't like and the film desperately needed a great score. The boxing and working out montages were fantastic as well as both the leads being in amazing shape. Overall, good movie, but not great.
