This was almost unwatchable.
I am not sure how Zachary Levi landed this lead role.
IMHO he has zero charisma.
I can understand why Duane Johnson did not want to associate it with this silly nonsense.
This was terrible by all accounts. Not even Mary Marvel plots saved this. Wonder Woman cameo was nice, but it seemed like Diana was just bored to be there. This movie was just embarrassing

There are man child characters that are quite appealing, like Sheldon in the big bang theory, and Barney in how I met your mother. But they are not like this, not sure if it is the wrong actor or wrong script, or a bit of both.
This might be the worst SH movie DC (or Marvel) has released to date. It made Black Adam look like a masterpiece.

Apparently you missed Thor: Love and Thunder, Dr Strange: Multiverse of Madness, Thor: the Dark World, Eternals, Suicide Squad (both versions) and Whedon's Justice League.
shareI'm one of the few that likes Thor The Dark World. Also like SS and JL (this movie had its problems, but also had some good scenes - not the 4 hour Snyder cut tho). Eternals wasn't great, but nowhere near as bad as S:FotG for me.
But yes, you're right about Thor: L&T and Dr Strange: MoM - they both sucked ass as well. Black Adam and Ant Man Quantumania were also lame af.
Yeah, I don't get why people don't like Thor The Dark World.

Zachary Levi is one of the most charismatic actors in Hollywood.
I liked it, it feels like it's a kids movie for kids, which is what I think a lot of comic book movies are missing these days. And Levi is plenty charismatic imo, but I'm the kind of person who's never understood the appeal of Ryan Reynolds, so I'm likely in the minority. The Rock would've fit perfectly into this movie, his acting in Jumanji pairs well with this film.

shareI liked the first movie and I thought Levi was good in it. This one unfortunately just didn't work. Was Levi as silly and stupid in the first one as he was here? I've only seen the first one when it came out but I feel like they made the character way too silly in this one.
