So when it all wraps up, which actor(s) have the best chances and worst of finding work elsewhere?

I am thinking Jim Parsons will find it the hardest, Sheldon is one of those quirky type of characters and he will probably be associated with it for a long time.

Kaley Cuoco will probably have the easiest time to move on.

I haven't seen Parsons in an interview, but if he's as quirky as Sheldon, he's done. If he's suave and charming, he can move right into another show. IOW, I don't know if he's acting or really playing himself in Big Bang!

reply

Dan Patrick (the sports guy) used to have him on his show occasionally. I think he's a big tennis fan, and being from Texas has been exposed to all kinds of sports. Seemed like he wasn't hiding that he's Gay as a Jaybird, and Patrick was great, seemed to just enjoy having him on.

reply

I'd actually say the total opposite. Parsons demonstrated that he was the stand-out star.

Cuoco's career was built on her looks. They ain't what they used to be.

Then again, let's face... how many shows have an Indian star? That guy's gonna struggle.

Jim Parsons will already have a job after The Big Bang Theory, he will be still narrating "Young Sheldon".

reply

Jim already does a lot of voice acting in movies. He'll probably continue doing so after "TBBT" is over.

Kaley will probably hang it up after "TBBT". She was already on a few hit TV shows in the past. Same with Johnny Galecki and Mayim Bialik.

I can see Simon Helberg, Melissa Rauch, and Kunal Nayyar having special guest appearances, but no real leading roles.

reply

And Cuoco has already feathered her nest further with commercial endorsements. I think she comes off well in these, which I wouldn't normally say.
Although I do like seeing J Garn doing TV commercials. (Almost said something lewd but I held back.)

reply

Parsons is in that new Ted Bundy movie with Zac Efron. It'll be interesting to see him in a non-comic role.

reply

Then you should watch Hidden Figures. He was stone cold serious in it.

reply

He was Sheldon pretending to be an attorney. To be honest I was surprised at his limitation

reply

Parsons is also a Broadway actor and has gotten great reviews in the past few years. I think he may stick to theater.

reply

Jim Parson and Johnny Galecki is probably the only guys you will see afterwards.

reply

I'd guess Johnny Galecki since he's already been in a ton of stuff.....Rosanne, I Know What you Did Last Summer, Rings as well as TBBT. Rings was just out a couple of years ago. He is still doing other things other than this. He's my pick.

reply

I really hope Galecki doesn't go back to the Connors show, other than an occasional guest appearance.

reply

I hope Ringo doesn't sing anymore songs ... except sometimes.

reply

They're all wealthy.... they don't need another job, and the show will be syndicated longer than any other.... even Seinfeld.

And I am so happy for them. I watched from day 1, episode 1.... and LOVED them from then... even though Raj is an annoying charicature, and Sheldon, had he been my room mate, would have had a broken jaw by now.... lol!

reply

That wasn't the question.

reply

i'm sorry, what....?

reply

Nevermind.
