Has not aged well at all
Holy fuck this movie is terrible. Alan Rickman and Michael Wincott interactions are still spectacular.
The custumes are shit, the sets are shit, Costners' accent is all over the place and it just so corny.

I think the only complaint of the movie today is that Kevin Costner doesn't use a British accent. I think there's still a lot to like about it. It's probably the most violent and dark iteration of Robin Hood I've ever seen.
shareI still like the movie. The sets look great to me and Marian's costumes are great in my opinion.
The best part about this movie, aside from Rickman, is the fact that it gave us Robin Hood: Men in Tights.
It’s aged great. It’s a fun romp with some darkness, like Indiana Jones. The only glaring error is Costner’s inexplicable American accent, but that is ‘blended’ into the picture by Slater and Mastrantonio’s half-American accents.
The fact that it’s free of woke dogma instantly puts it lightyears above anything coming out today. Wasn’t the most recent Robin Hood black?? Robin n the Hood 🤣
Rickman totally steals the show and puts this squarely in the comedy-action genre.
What!?
Its got that black man front and center!
Can you imagine the screaming if that was released today ?
"Black man!! in Robin Hood times !!! WOKE!!!! WOKE!!!! WOKE!!!! WOKE!!!! WOKE!!!! WOKE!!!! WOKE!!!! "
Morgan Freeman's character doesn't make this movie woke... his presence is justified well enough. He is a good and strong character, not just filling a quota.
shareYou clearly don’t understand wokism.
shareNope. Woke would be if Freeman was playing Robin Hood and there was no explanation, and for some reason he was trans. The film was able to do "diversity" in the context of reality. Something woke can never grasp because their agenda is outside reality.
shareJust saw the new Arrow 4K UHD release (extended cut) and I think it has aged just fine. It may contain too much humour for some people and isn't for everybody, but I think Kevin Reynolds did a fine job with it. I also liked his Count of Monte Cristo. Too bad he isn't directing anymore (to my knowledge).
shareit is over dark. batman 89 set template for film becoming more darker at this time. opening scene brutal! but it is good fun movie.
