Sarah was such a brat.

Her parents should have scourged her.

reply

But she'd stopped being one at the end, due to the magic of character development.

reply

Well, maybe, and maybe not.

She was more caring towards the bro - but only because she had gone through so much trouble and effort to get him back, and her motivation for THAT was because she would otherwise get into so much trouble with parents, authorities, etc.

She still retained the childish brattiness, though, because we were shown she couldn't let go of the imaginary friends after all, to become a true adult or even teenager. What teen imagines room full of living dolls? Creepy.

So in the end, she didn't grow up.

She was an unlikable bitch

reply

I liked her but I think they messed up a great rain scene at the first of the movie and then didn't let her have a small wet tshirt showing from it.

reply

You realize Jennifer Connelly was 16 at the time, right?

reply

So why make the film crew film in the rain then if they didn't want a better effect of what happens in getting caught in the rain. They used it with Helen Hunt in that As good as it gets movie.

… Helen Hunt was an adult.

As for Sarah getting caught in the rain, that was to showcase her bad luck, not for sexualizing a teenager.

reply

They might have decided to go on a change it later before release. They sure didn't have a problem with her having to see David Bowie in the pants he wore through the movie.

Bowie, a man who was well into his 30’s at the time, wearing tight pants and showing the breasts of an UNDERAGE actress are two different things.

reply

This pervert is not getting it.

reply

Oh come on, everyone hates infant half-siblings and passive-aggressive stepparents!

Where the hell was her real mother, BTW? Dead, gone, or lost custody?

reply

She wasn't unlike any other 16 year old, most of us were brats at that age, but she did go out and save her little brother. Clearly, she wasn't a liberal.

reply

Damn right!
