This movie is seriously one of the most quotable movies of all time. So many good lines.

He's just another toxic-ass psychotic liberal. Despite making movies in which the themes conform to classically moral values, he's ultimately gonna side with evil because he's a piece of amoral shit like the rest of the Hollywood cesspool.

It's been a while since I read the book, and I forget if the "force" behind the nothing is explained. Gmork, however, is explained as a being who existed between worlds, belonging neither to Fantasia or the human realm. He explained that he was helping the nothing due to bitterness that he never had a place to belong.
I saw this when I was like 6 and understood it.
