Yeah but Bender himself is supposed to be 17-18 in 1984.
shareOh, a lot of people use the character name when they mean the actor, I thought this thread was the same.
People like Bender either end up in prison for petty crimes or end up excelling in something they have an interest in depending on whether he got his shit together or not. Oddly enough I think Bender was one of the more stable characters in the film.

shareHe dropped out of school because he was constantly failed to graduate. He worked at an auto shop for a few years. He got a girl pregnant and figured it was time to better himself than his father. So he went to night school to get his high school diploma, eventually married the baby’s mother and became rich owning chains for auto shops. After all these years he is still married.
I kinda cheated as this is what happened to a guy in my high school who was like Bender.
