This is a good question. Superman 1 came out in 1978. When it was released, the special effects were state of the art. No one had done anything like that before. The casting was perfection. Every single role was cast just right. Excellent story put together by some of the best writers of the time. "Superman" was a case of everything being done just right.
Yeah, I can't think of one superhero movie, in the now subsequent 45-46 years, that was better.

shareI was put off a little by END GAME, mainly because I was not a fan of Fat THOR or Professor HULK and felt this was done on purpose because the Russo Bros simply didn't care for the HULK and after END GAME, HULK has been basically made out to be a total puss as evident with his appearances on the Godawful SHE-HULK on Disney+

shareYep. I ranked all the superhero movies the other day and I surprised myself when I slotted this in number one. I think it's the best adaption of the golden age era comics to screen.
shareI'd say it's the 1st of it's kind back in 1978 and with superb FX and no CGI, plus, when Christopher Reeve is running down the alley to turn into SUPERMAN he looks like a linebacker and truly looked the part
