Show is stupid and terrible, but Barbara Eden is one of the most physically ...

... beautiful women in the world. I have no idea what she might be like as a human being, but she is just amazingly attractive. Same with the original TV Wonder Woman Lynda Carter.

They are not really big, they are not so small and petite or fragile. Just some kind of ideal female form and pretty facial features.

reply

Yeah, Barbara is not hard to look at. This was one of the few silly sitcoms my dad allowed on in our house when I was a kid. Now I understand why.

reply

The show was neither stupid nor terrible. Because if it truly was, you would never have seen Barbara Eden playing the lead role, or even a bit part.

reply

Your logic is as bad as your taste ... if you really liked this show. I was a kid and when I came home from school I plopped down in front of a B&W TV that had 4 channels and I would have watched anything ... except The Andy Griffith Show, Hogan's Heroes, etc.

reply

We're probably the same age, and I would hope that you were only a kid when you came home from school and not an adult. But, if insulting people online is your thing, have a nice rest of your life.

reply

Insulting people online ... you must be looking for a soulmate or something, what's your problem?

reply

No problem, because I do like the show. And thus, your problem, it appears. But, I'm off to discuss the show with folks who actually want a discussion instead of a sparring match.

reply

So you hate all the classic comedies of the 60s: I Dream of Jeannie, Andy Griffith Show, Hogan's Heroes. Can we add Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres, Gomer Pyle, Batman? Petticoat Junction has some hotties too.

reply

I love the show. You just don't have the '60s sensibility. I agree though about Wonder Woman: that show sucked, but both Linda Carter snd Barbara Eden were gorgeous! Incidentally I met Barbara Eden and Bill Daily (Roger Healy).

reply

What was it like meeting Bill? He's done a lot of good comedy :-)

reply

Yes, he was great on both Jeannie and Bob Newhart. It was great to meet him in 2013. Here's his Emmy Legends interview if you're interested:

reply

I'll have a look/listen. I'm glad that site has all of those interviews available. My favorite so far has been the multi-parter with Joe Straczynski (creator of Babylon 5) :-)

reply

My impression of Bill Daily from interviews and game show appearances is that the man was a dim bulb. I can't recall him ever saying anything clever or funny that wasn't scripted.

reply

I loved Lynda Carter as WW and thought she had the right build for the role. She looked convincing to me. Eden also fits the idea of the playful genie.

Women now seem to be anorexic, no curves or shape at all.

reply

Second this!

reply

Androgyny is the current fad and as far as I'm concerned, it can't come to an end fast enough.

reply

Yep it’s been that way too long. Curvy women without going to the extremes of Lizzo.

reply

One of my favorite shows. Not sure what type of shows you think are better. I met Barbara in 2013 along with Bill Daily.

reply

Never watched the show on a regular basis as it's kind of a one-note comedy. But the cast was terrific. How could they do better for what they needed? Barbara, Hagman,Daly hit all the right notes.
