Still a simp.

Thank you for proving why we need to screen users like you here.

And they'd screen users like you out since you destroyed IMDB. For that we can't forgive you.

It took you 3 months to say that?

ehh, you do know it's the left wingers like AOC and her gang that want censorship, and take freedom away, right?

I guess you're not old enough to remember Bush/Ashcroft's free speech zones where there is no free speech outside of them and that their Patriot Act basically makes anywhere within 50 miles of the border a Constitution "Free" Zone where there is no constitution within it.

You are nothing if not entertaining. Also, I don't think you truly understand what fascism means.

reply

naaah I don't think you truly understand what fascism means.
Here's the definition from the man who created the term.

Fascism should more properly be called corporatism, since it is the merger of state and corporate power - Benito Mussolini

Now it is Republicans that believe in deregulation of corporations and corporations ruling us right?
Bill Factory This is How Corrupt The Political System Is - YouTube
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBZ2V9LMeDk
This was basically a secretive convention for when congress fell to the Republicans corporations were drafting bills and bribing Republican politicians to pass them.

Here are the 14 Characteristics of Fascism. Notice they all have in common with what Trump supporters/Republicans do.
https://ratical.org/ratville/CAH/fasci14chars.html
1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism
Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.
2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights
3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause
The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc.
4. Supremacy of the Military
5. Rampant Sexism
6. Controlled Mass Media like the merge between Fox News and Government and Trump's constant attacks on the media.
7. Obsession with National Security. Bush's Patriot Act, Homeland Security and NSA.
8. Religion and Government are Intertwined
9. Corporate Power is Protected - Texas - Snowstorm

reply

The article left out this one: only one point of view is allowed - that of the dictator and/or government. Fascists make sure this viewpoint permeates every aspect of life: media, culture, entertainment, etc.

reply

Agreed but not everything would fit.

reply

1 "Powerful and Continuing Nationalism" that's a socialist/communist trait.
But you're right, fascism is, economically, very close to socialism.

2, Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights
you mean like in socialist countries? Look at China, NK, etc.

3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause
Just like democrats are doing now?

4. Who brought the military in and surrounded the capitol???

6. Rampant control of the media by the ...wait for it, the democrats, check once more.

Fascism is socialism under a veil of corporatism - the corporations ARE controlled by the state. Btw, before starting the fascist party Mussolini was a leading member of the socialist party.

USA is far from fascism, the right wing in US want less government, fascists want more. The corporations are trying to control the state, not the other way around.

reply

"Look at China, NK, etc."
Yet the U.S. has no problems doing trade with China. Half the products on U.S. store shelves are made there.

"...the corporations ARE controlled by the state"
In the U.S. it's the other way around. Corporations and the wealthy fund and thus control those running for office. Both major parties are involved. The U.S. is a one-party oligarchy. https://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-echochambers-27074746

reply

"Yet the U.S. has no problems doing trade with China. Half the products on U.S. store shelves are made there."

Not just the US, the whole world. But that doesn't mean that the US does the same shit as the chinese communists ...

"In the U.S. it's the other way around." that's exactly what I said. So you would agree that US is going to the exact opposite of fascism, in that regard???

reply

Not necessarily. In a corporate-dominated oligarchy (like the U.S. is becoming) workers would have no rights or safeguards. Unions would be abolished. Citizens would be unable to stop things like pipelines and the environment could be destroyed.

reply

And that is related to fascism how???

As i was saying: that's the opposite of fascism.

Fascism, just as socialism, pretends to put the nation and the citizens first.

reply

The rights of the corporations would take precedence over that of the citizenry. This is already happening. I'll post this link again: https://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-echochambers-27074746

reply

Do i need to repeat myself?

What that has to do with fascism?

Yes, it's not something that we want to have but it's far from fascism.

Stop calling everything you don't like "fascism" ...

reply

This sentence from that article (which I've posted a link to twice) sums it up: "... the average American has little power."

In a fascist state the average citizens have no voice. The only accepted opinion is that of the ruling power. Every citizen must conform or pay the consequences.

Please read the article; it's not that long.

reply

That’s valid everywhere: the regular citizen has little power.

It’s a democracy, the only power a citizen has it’s his vote. One in 350.000.000. That’s very little power, and it’s normal. WHAT kind of power do you expect a citizen to hold???

But you can see the power of citizens at play in USA. Trump was removed and replaced with Biden by the power of the citizens. Senators are elected by the power of citizens. A fascist state would not allow it’s citizens to remove the leader which basically is a authoritarian tyrant.

I don’t need to read and article to see a biased opinion.

Do you know how much power a citizen had in USSR comrade? Zero!!!
You either complied with what the party leader dictated or you were sent to re-education camps.

Look on the internet or in the media in the USA, a lot of divergent opinions and no one is jailed for it. And tbh I see the democrats and their supporters trying to silence everyone that has a different opinion. Take Gina Carano as an example, but let me guess, it’s justified when your side acts like fascists …

Regardless of the bias of the source these are people caught in camera with that kind of ideas. And they are NOT republicans.

reply

If only we could elect a president willing to stand up to China. Oh wait, we did that, and look at what our government, corporations, and media did to him.

reply

1 "Powerful and Continuing Nationalism" that's a socialist/communist trait.

No it isn't. You don't see communists waving flags everywhere and announcing they are nationalists. Only fascists do and Republicans do.
Trump says he is a Nationalist https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sazitj4x6YI Consequently also the same as Republicans do.

2, Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights
GITMO, Waterboarding, use of white phosphorus, Patriot Act, NSA - Republicans again.

3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause
Unions, "socialists", "commies", Muslims. Immigrants. Latinos. Jews. Blacks. Gays and other LBGTQs. All the people the Republicans scapegoat.

4. Who brought the military in and surrounded the capitol???
Republicans have made our military the largest military in the world. Military spending in the US is larger than France, England, Japan and Germany combined yet homeless are everywhere. That's the former definition of a 2nd world country. All brought to us by Republicans, stealing from the American people to give to the rich.

6. Rampant control of the media by the ...wait for it, the democrats, check once more.
Nope. Try again. Trump had Tiktok shut down.

The 6 Companies That Own (Almost) All Media [INFOGRAPHIC]
https://www.webfx.com/blog/internet/the-6-companies-that-own-almost-all-media-infographic/
The rich corporates are your masters. They control everything you think. That is fascism. Their front men are the Republicans. They've convinced you they are liberal by the occasional times they tell the truth. But the news is always filtered through the heads of these 6 corporations.

Fascism isn't socialism. It is the opposite. In socialism we the people control the government. In fascism the corporations and the rich do. No in fascism the corporations control the state. Singapore and Japan are light versions of fascism and the Keiretsus (ie. Mitsubishi) controls the state.

"USA is far from fascism"
If 90% of the media is owned by 6 corporations the US is very close to fascism.
If corporations hold 'Bill Factories' to tell the Republican politicians which bills they would like to see passed in return for bribery, then the US is very close to fascism. See video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBZ2V9LMeDk

"the right wing in US want less government, fascists want more."
The right wants bigger government. The right supports more military (government), more police (government), border walls and an oppressive border control (government), created the Department of Homeland Security, NSA and 32 other secret service agencies spying on Americans (government), TSA (Government under the guise of "safety"), Border checks 150 miles from the border, the Republican "Constitution Free Zone" that extends 50 miles inland from all borders and the Patriot Act created by the right and pushed through congress by the right all designed to violate our constitutional rights.
That is fascism.

"The corporations are trying to control the state, not the other way around"
Exactly and that's fascism you idiot. And as demonstrated the Republicans all serve corporations.

Only fallacies and ad hominem, that's your level.

1. "No it isn't. You don't see communists waving flags everywhere and announcing they are nationalists. Only fascists do and Republicans do."

Yes it is, I lived in a socialist country, had direct experience. Look at NK, how they "do everything for the country, for the party" and bark at everyone else, if that's not nationalism I don't know what it is.

2, Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights.

Again, I lived in a socialist country. And in USA one of the Bernie campaign managers was talking about re-education camps for republicans.

The ones you enumerate are not republican only.

3, Again I lived in a socialist country. Direct experience trumps your ignorance.

4. The oversized military is a result of both parties. Funny enough your democrat Obama has made a lot more use of that military force than trump.

6. TikTok is not a media outlet you idiot. Democrats own corporations as well. What world do you live in?

"The corporations are trying to control the state, not the other way around"
Exactly and that's fascism you idiot. And as demonstrated the Republicans all serve corporations.

You are indeed an idiot. Read some history. Before Mussolini started the fascist party he was a leading member of the italian socialist party but he was expelled from the socialist party for being in favor of strong nationalism..

Let that sink in: a leading member of a socialist party actually started the fascist movement.

In fascism the state controls the corporations, not the other way around. In USA the corporations control the state, it's the exact opposite of fascism.

You have no idea what fascism was or how it was founded ...

reply

Of course TikTok is a media outlet you nitwit! It's a SOCIAL MEDIA, or in other words where users create their own media.
Unbelieveably stupid.
Everything you wrote is nonsense and based on rhetorical technique hence your attempt at 'big words' like "ad hominem". It means nothing and doesn't change the facts that Republicans are fascists, support big government in EVERY WAY, spying on us, controlling us and using our tax dollars against us. Big Military is big government.

You have no idea what fascism is and how it was founded.

reply

Your post is full of flaws, but I think the crux of your misunderstanding is revealed when you write, "in socialism we the people control the government." That may be some aspect of a pie-in-the-sky, Utopian wish for what might be, but look to any socialist government that has ever existed, and you'll see the opposite. Whether it's the boot-on-your-neck socialism of the Soviet Union or China, or the kinder, gentler socialism of Norway, in all cases the people work and give to the government, who control everything, and redistribute the money as they, the government, see fit. Everything is controlled through the state, with varying levels of personal freedom, and there has never been a socialist country where the people in any way, shape, or form called the shots.

I'd also point out that what you consider "bigger government," i.e. the military, police, and border patrol, have nothing to do with what bigger government actually is. The belief of those on the right is that the government's primary job is to keep its citizens safe, which means a strong border, a military capable of defending the nation, and a police force that prevents crime and catches and punishes criminals. The government should be nearly non-existent beyond that. Citizens should be free to do anything they want to do, as long as it does not infringe upon the freedoms of other citizens, and the government is there to step in when someone does try to infringe upon someone else.

A strong border, crime prevention, punishing criminals, and preventing foreign attacks are not fascist notions.

reply

"A strong border, crime prevention, punishing criminals, and provoking foreign attacks are not fascist notions."

Of course they are. They all limit freedom, they are all targetting individuals while giving free passes to the corporations and the rich, they provoke foreign attacks with "preemptive" wars that were based on lies just like the Fascist Hitler did and they are all BIG GOVERNMENT. PERIOD. That's fascism.

reply

For starters, while you put the words in quotes, you drastically changed my words. I wrote about preventing foreign attacks, and you rewrote it as provoking foreign attacks.

More importantly, no those are not fascist ideals. Those are standard goals that all successful nations strive towards. Preventing crime and punishing criminals is not a fascist idea by any stretch, not does it limit the freedom of anyone other than a criminal. You are adding many, many layers to my words which were not included, or implied in what I wrote.

If a nation targets individuals, gives free passes to corporations and the rich, and only penalizes some criminals-- that's bad. But it in no way relates to what I wrote.

The same goes for a strong border. Allowing anyone to come and go unchecked is detrimental to the well-being of the nation and its populace. There is nothing fascist about that. Nearly every nation currently in existence on earth has immigration laws. Are they all fascist regimes?

Finally, provoking foreign attacks and launching preemptive wars are bad things. They aren't specific to fascism, but I argued specifically against them in my post, which you conveniently rewrote before attacking something I didn't write.

I believe that the government should be small, and limited in power. Its only job is to maintain the safety of its people, and its own sovereignty. The people should have total freedom to do as they wish as long as they don't infringe upon the freedom of others.

reply

I didn't change your words at all. It's a direct quote. Stop flailing snowflake.

reply

Dude, scroll up. I took a screenshot just now, in case you edit it.

Me: A strong border, crime prevention, punishing criminals, and preventing foreign attacks are not fascist notions.

You, misquoting me: "A strong border, crime prevention, punishing criminals, and provoking foreign attacks are not fascist notions."

reply

2. So you're arguing Republicans have some similarities with Communist countries too? Agreed. Why do you think Trump loved China and North Korea so much?
3. Democrats aren't scapegoating immigrants like Republicans and Hitler did.
4. Fascists did of course. Who made the military the biggest and most overspent in the world?!!!
6. I already covered this. 6 corporations control the media. This is why the US media didn't cover the Downing Street Memos, why they didn't call foul on Bush's WMDs claims, why they followed lockstep in with Bush's bailout of the banks, why the media barely made a peep over Trump's bailing out of the farmers after Trump destroyed their trade partnerships and why Fidel Castro's Cuba was accused of numerous human rights abuses — while the crimes of U.S. allies are barely mentioned
https://www.salon.com/2016/12/01/fidel-castros-cuba-was-accused-of-numerous-human-rights-abuses-while-the-crimes-of-u-s-allies-are-barely-mentioned/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=socialflow
Cuba's human rights violations are nothing compared to the crimes of U.S. allies, which the media largely overlooks

Trump LITERALLY shut down Tiktok because he didn't like what they were saying.

Fascism is not socialism under the veil of corporatism. Fascism IS corporatism. The corporations ARE IN CONTROL of the state, by bribing the politicians (especially the Republicans) with their superPACs, lobbyists and Bill Factories. The Republicans do as the corporations bid them not as the voters big them.

Check this video out.
▶ Bill Factory This is How Corrupt The Political System Is - YouTube
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBZ2V9LMeDk

When Republicans regained congress they held conventions like this one so that corporations could draft bills and present it to the Republicans to pass in return for bribery. That's fascism plain and simple.

1- USA is far from fascism- Really so why is it socialism for the rich but ever man

1. USA is far from fascism,
When the corporations, farmers and the rich get bailouts when the banks and corporations cause recessions and pandemics it's very close to fascism. All flights SHOULD have been stopped from EVERYWHERE but corporate profits were more important than people's lives. That's fascism buddy boy.

2.the right wing in US want less government,
Alright then, why does the right want more spending on the military than the next 5 strongest countries combined if they don't want more government. Bigger military is bigger government. The islands of Hawaii are absolutely under siege by military bases. US military basis are stationed ALL OVER THE WORLD. Can you imagine if Cuba had a military base on the tip of Florida like our government does in Guantanamo, or if Russia had a base still in Alaska? American government would go bezerk.
NSA spying on us. Created by the Republicans. Big government.
The income tax - not properly ratified but brought to us by Republicans when corporations used to just be taxed - Big government.
TSA and 30 other secret service agencies spying on us - Republicans - big government.
A ubiquitous presence of tyrannical, murderous, unaccountable police that get away with murder and destroying people's lives every day and care little for the US constitution. Cameras on freeways and stop lights. License plate readers, total awareness everywhere - all supported by Republicans - big government.
The Patriot Act - drafted and prepared long before 9/11 by Republicans that did nothing to prevent terrorism and everything to spy on and control us - big government.
Strong borders and border control - Big government.
Citizenship checks 300 miles from the border in Texas, Arizona and California - brought to us by Republicans - Big government - all of it fascism.

The 14 Characteristics of Fascism
Political scientist Dr. Lawrence Britt recently wrote an article about fascism ("Fascism Anyone?," Free Inquiry, Spring 2003, page 20). Studying the fascist regimes of Hitler (Germany), Mussolini (Italy), Franco (Spain), Suharto (Indonesia), and Pinochet (Chile), Dr. Britt found they all had 14 elements in common. He calls these the identifying characteristics of fascism. The excerpt is in accordance with the magazine's policy.

The 14 characteristics are:

Powerful and Continuing Nationalism

Looking at those points I can say that almost all of them with few exceptions have been applied by the communist regimes in the socialist countries under the USSR influence.

That's right Big government. Why did they give bailouts to the banks? Big government.
