I think it is more about public image, she dated so many people but nobody had anything bitter or nasty to say about her, at least I didn't know any, then again I am not really a devoted fan.

I liked exactly 4 songs of hers:"Love story", "You belong with me", "Blank space" and "Shake it off", the rest is more a meh.
Then again for Michael Jackson I only liked "Beat it".

She's very pretty, but you're right about the talent or lack of it. What is so strange is that most performers around as long as she has been usually improve, but she's as bad now as she ever was, or maybe worse if that's possible. At least that cheerleading song was catchy.
Lol. She's only 34. How is that old by any objective standard? She's also what most people would consider a very attractive woman. In fact, it's her looks which have made her popular.
So nah, you can't just say it. You have to make your case and you haven't.
She has a nice voice and she can sing. I don't like her music, it's pablum. But she has talent.

Very pretty no doubt, but she's hitting mid 30s. In five years she'll be pushing 40! She definitely maximized a performers expiration date.
No, in the music industry, you don't have to be a teenager. Madonna was at her peak in the 80's when she was in her 30's. Mariah Carey is in her 50's and still relevant.

I'm 33 and definitely feel I am no spring chicken anymore. And I still look young for my age to boot. Maybe I can even pass for a teenager. But I'm still mentally my chronological age and I'd feel like a fossil among teens.
The problem is that today everyone fears getting old and do everything in their power to try to fight it. That's why you have Madonna who still thinks she's 25, and women in their 30's who still want to be teenagers and postpone settling down until their 40's at least. I mean, not long ago there was a 32-year old woman who feigned her identity and passed herself off as a 13-year old high school student!
I'm a little older than you. 🤣 I felt old at 30 as well. Looking back I'd say 30's are your strongest decade. Remember, both Jesus Christ and Alexander the Great died when they were 33, at their peak!
