Margot Robbie?
Has Jennifer Lawrence been asked about Margot Robbie in an interview or anything? What does she think of her? Do we think Jennifer is jealous of Margot because Margot took her spot?

shareI'd love to see them in a movie together
shareAs cool as that idea is, it would be sort of like expecting Brad Pitt to do a movie with Johnny Depp or expecting Tom Cruise to do a movie with Leonardo DiCaprio.
shareOr like expecting Brad Pitt to do a movie with Leonardo DiCaprio... Derp derp

shareI'm surprised that Tom agreed to let Brad be in Interview with a Vampire.
shareI read some production notes some time ago where Brad reportedly mentioned that he was miserable on set the entire time because it felt like he was always second fiddle to Tom Cruise, and hated the entire experience.
I get the feeling it was Tom's way of using Brad to leverage his own fame... not unlike what he did with having Henry Cavill in the last Mission Impossible flick.
Poetic justice has made Brad more relevant than Tom.
For instance, Tom doing Top Gun 2 feels like one of those retro rock bands coming back for one more tour, not unlike his character in Rock of Ages.
Absolutely agreed.
I've always felt -- despite seeming like a douche bag in real life -- Brad Pitt was the far better actor compared to Tom Cruise.
Looking at their body of work, it's pretty obvious which one has the more diverse catalog of films, too.
Although, to be fair, I do enjoy the Mission Impossible flicks. They're quite the guilty pleasure.
What I like about Brad is that he always surprises whereas Tom is formulaic enough to be made fun of by Rich Hall: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-tU2KIAMrs (although Roger Ebert had already exposed the Tom Cruise formula in his review for Days of Thunder)
Maybe if Brad had been the star of The Saint, he would have got his own franchise and Tom would have given up the desire to do more M:I sequels. The problem with Val Kilmer being The Saint is that he didn't have the range to pull off being a master of disguise.
I doubt Jennifer would do it. Margot would act circles around her.
shareMargot Robbie took her spot in a movie, and in the larger sense, took her spot in Hollywood. Jennifer Lawrence's will still find work in Hollywood, but her days of being cast as the lead in big budget films is over.
shareYep, Margot has replaced Jennifer as the Hollywood IT girl.
shareThere's room for both. Besides, Jennifer is co-headlining a movie alongside Leo at the moment and she's rumored to play someone in the MCU, I think she'll be just fine.
shareThe movie with DiCaprio is Netflix, not the big screen, and she is "open" to playing a villain in an unnamed upcoming MCU film, which is saying she wants the role (because the most they will ever give "Mystique" is a cameo), but it hasn't been offered to her. In other words, Jennifer Lawrence is begging to be cast in the MCU. Not something an actor at the top of the industry does. Even if they do, there is no guarantee the MCUverse will have the same appeal it once had. I get the feeling audiences are superheroed out.
Netflix is a pretty big deal nowadays. More people will probably see it on Netflix than they would in theaters (especially with the pandemic going on.)
shareNah she was dethroned. Margot Robbie is at the top now getting the big gigs. Lawrence isn’t.
shareI dont see the jealousy angel.
I think they are the same except they both work for big parts but one cant do them all. Whatever Margot got I think she earned.
