WEAK & DESTROYED OVER THIS LOSS...

I GREW UP A LAKER FAN..MAGIC,KAREEM,WORTHY....KOBE WAS DRAFTED IN 1996..MY FRESHMAN YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL...20 SOLID YEARS OF THE MAMBA...IM PUSHING 40 MYSELF NOW.MY DAUGHTER GREW UP WATCHING KOBE PLAY OUT HIS LAST SEASONS...KOBE IS PRACTICALLY A PART OF MY FAMILY....THIS IS A BAD FUCKING DAY...REAL FUCKING BAD.

reply

Keep the faith brother , what we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.

reply

I graduated HS in '90 so I'm a few ticks older, but I can relate. I'm a Tarheel fan so I watched "Big Game" James Worthy run with Magic in the 80s.

You are feeling vulnerable now. Kobe was 41 and by all accounts on top of his world. L.A. is a seductive mistress. I lived there for a few years. It is an intoxicating environment. His death makes me think of my own past.

REPORTED.

reply

You see that ignore button over there, if you don't like things people say then that would be your better option, sir.

What can I say? I'm glad that he's dead, I don't have to be sad just because you and so many others are, especially given his dark past

reply

PEOPLE WERE BANNED YESTERDAY FOR TROLLING RIP BOARDS..SAME SHIT YOURE DOING NOW....HAVE SOME TACT.

I didn't get the memo.

Is it mentioning the fact that he was a rapist who escaped prosecution because he is wealthy and talented, or is it recognizing the fact that you have no problem with an unprosecuted rapist who is rich and talented that is grounds for being deemed a troll and comment removal?

reply

ITS PURPOSELY POSTING RUDE,AND OR VILE COMMENTS ABOUT A RECENTLY DECEASED PERSON FOR THE EXPLICIT PURPOSE OF ANGERING AND UPSETTING OTHERS...

reply

Well, I can't see what comment was deleted, but you and others lauding a rapist as a saint or virtuous man is about as vile as it gets, beside the rape itself, that is.

Keep in mind that those who are willing to engage in forcible sex (rape) do so as a pattern of behavior, meaning that there are often scores of victims over their lifetime.

So, as far as I'm concerned, my sympathies lay with his possible/probable victims, not his fans, friends, or family.

Death doesn't make an unprosecuted violent felon above reproach, nor does it make criticism of the man and his vile actions wrong.

reply

YEAH,OK...EXCEPT HE WASNT A RAPIST...YOU KEEP HARPING ON FAKE NEWS AS A REASON TO TEAR DOWN A DEAD MAN....THAT WOMAN WAS UNBALANCED AND PLANNED FOR WHAT HAPPENED..SHE GOT HER BULLSHIT PAYOUT.THE INFORMATION ON THE CASE IS ALL OUT THERE,ANYONE WHO READS IT COMES TO THE SAME CONCLUSION.

reply

Fake News???

The man had her blood on his tee shirt, lied to the police, and she had heavy bruising on her neck where he held her down.

That's not fake news, that's fact.

reply

SHE HAD SEX LATER THAT DAY WITH SOMEONE ELSE..HER PANTIES HAD A THIRD PERSONS SEMEN IN THEM.SHE TOLD FRIENDS SHE WAS GONNA SEDUCE A FAMOUS BASKETBALL PLAYER.SHE IS SCHITZOPHRENIC..HER PARENTS SPOKE OUT AGAINST HER...SHE REFUSED TO TESTIFY....SHE GOT FUCKED,NO DOUBT...SHE WAS A WILLING PARTICIPANT LOOKING FOR ATTENTION AND $$$ AFTER THOUGH.

reply

You already know that I'm no fan of #believewomen or #metoo, but the whole thing at the time stunk of wealth, privilege, and fame buying its way out of responsibility against a crazy ass broad.

None of it looks good, but I'm sick of the hypocrisy on both sides.

Coddled jocks who think the rules don't apply to them, and crazy-ass women, both who the court system protects in exchange for votes in the interest of social engineering - both sides of the equation represent the worst of what this country has become, or maybe always was.

I don't cheer the death of 9 people in an aviation accident, anymore than I canonize the life of one individual of note in that same accident.

Whatever happened in that hotel room all those years ago wasn't good, and it probably wasn't isolated on the part of either party - that much needs to be recognized.

One of those individuals is deified, one of those individuals is ignored or vilified.

reply

KOBE FUCKED UP..IVE NEVER SAID OTHERWISE..HE DIDNT SKATE ON RAPE THOUGH...SHE GOT HER PAYCHECK AND WALKED AWAY..SHE MOVED ON,THE WORLD MOVED ON...THE THOUGHT THAT ALL A PERSONS NEGATIVES HAVE TO BE BROUGHT UP WHEN THEY DIE TO MAKE IT "FAIR" OR "HONEST"...THATS JUST WRONG.

reply

And, we'll leave it here, friend.

By the way, I responded to your funny weed comment on the Willie Nelson thread.

If you have a large dog, weed tincture can dramatically extend its life.

I'm convinced it's given me an extra 3 years with my 14+ year old 120lb puppy.

reply

I HAVE A NINE YEAR OLD HEN...SHES BEEN PUFFING WITH ME SINCE SHE CRACKED HER EGG...I BELIEVE SHE HAS THRIVED ON THE GREEN.

reply

I have a VERY elderly pet house bunny that nibbles on some trim from a friend who grows. He's blind as a bat but is happy and just keeps on chugging - the stuff is amazing from a medicinal standpoint.

reply

"What can I say? I'm glad that he's dead" What a horrible thing to say.

reply

You ARE weak if a celebrity death affects you this much. It's a tragedy but he wouldn't have paid you any attention if he passed you on the street. Get it together and be a man.

reply

It's sad that he died, but no more sad than the probably thousands of other people who died in accidents that same day.

reply

lol People always expect you to feel extra sympathy when the person that dies is a celebrity for some reason

reply

It's called virtue signaling, it's a product of the weak minded followers of the herd, it allows them to feel that they are better persons than they actually are. I mean, can you imagine one of them looking into a mirror and saying, 'I like a rapist because he has wealth, talent, and fame that I envy.'.

reply

No, I legitimately think people are so enamoured by celebirities that they really do feel they deserve extra pity and sympathy when they go. We place way too much artificial value on fame, status, wealth, etc. and especially on the importance of the lives of those that have it

reply

Kobe raped a woman in Colorado. Now i guess the metoo movement doesnt matter now???

MAN THERE ARE A LOT OF THOUGHTLESS TROLLS.
