Can we delete this discussion board?
It has nothing to do with movies, actually bumps movies from the main page, and attracts trolls / dumb arguments like a magnet.
It's the first thing I see when I look at MovieChat.Org on my mobile device.

Can we delete this Presidency? If he does the noble thing and admits he’s way over his head and resigns, this message board will quietly disappear with him.
shareThat MC should do is to split the latest discussion display into two ...
One should be for movies, and the other should be for actors. That way you would have more things to check out, but Trump would probably still stay there he just would not knock as many things out of view.
A possible solution could be to simply remove people from the opening trending bar and put them elsewhere - even at the bottom of the page where it's less obvious or within a people section.
shareJust put the people section different from the movie & TV section ... OR better yet have a scroll for each of the Movies, TV and People ... like they have now with the All movies and then In Theaters. Just have more stuff going on in the main page. It would make the website better too.
shareI'll admit to having wanted it gone too, but I understand why it's here, and it's probably quite important for Americans to be able to discuss/vent and it's only frustrating for the rest of us because that face has to apppear in trending ad nauseum...BUT...I'd actually opt for it to stay and hope that ONE DAY (and I know this is nothing but wishful thinking) some of the discussion will go back to his years in reality tv, where he was quite funny at times.
I wish it wasn't such a negative, hateful board, and that there could be more bridges mended between the warring parties, so that a less hysterical conversation could be had and maybe both sides could see merit in one another's arguments instead of just resorting to ad hominem attacks (which is understandable. It's cathartic to vent).
Trust me, Catsidhe, there are plenty of us Americans who find seeing Trump constantly in Trending to be just as frustrating as you and others outside of the US do.
I get why this board is here too, but wish people would take the political discussions to the Politics board and keep them there. Even more that people could discuss politics without hammering one another over their heads and have civil, reasonable conversations about it. Barring this, I wish MC had a way to exclude this board from appearing in Trending.
Anything that raises awareness about what a dishonest, corrupt, venal fraud trump is does the Lord's work.
shareI'm not a Trump fan, but as long as we remain so polarised, so utterly unwilling to see that the other "team" has some kind of point to be made and listened to objectively, and respond with all these senseless ad hominem attacks, things are only going to continue to get worse.
shareYeah, I don't see discussions ever going anywhere. I understand frustrations getting high and insults being thrown, but in many ways this board is like the political version of any comic book movie. Two sides just jeer at each other, without hearing a thing the other is saying.
shareI hear everything the other side says. I just strongly disagree with a lot of it.
shareA lot, okay, but this means you either agree or don't strongly disagree with some of it. Unless we're able to look for and find some common ground, nothing's going to change. We'll continue to go down this ugly, toxic path.
shareExactly. The discussions go nowhere, so what's the point? There's a handful (a very small handful) of posters here who are able to do it without devolving into flinging insults, and aren't so utterly blinded by their political biases they can read posts by those with whom they overall disagree, and admit some points are made. Without even insulting others! Imagine. I know, it's shocking these days. They're the ones who have my respect, and whose posts I read the most.
Although I have no interest in the comic book movies or their feuds on the boards, I've heard about them and agree.
Posts like this are the problem. You're obviously bias, and obviously a lot of people disagree with you. What does a statement like that actually contribute?
shareA lot of people disagree with pro Trump posts. Obviously, if you take a strong position on the President, you're not going to get universal agreement. Anything but.
shareI agreed that the issue is very polarized. I'm asking what is to gain by posting a comment about how much you hate him without anything to add?

shareLast couple of days have proven your point.
shareThey're still proving your point.
shareI second this. OP is correct. There are discussion boards and other platforms about Politics and political figures all over the web. We’ll have to get #TeamLiz protests up and running again 🙄
