Can we delete this discussion board?
It has nothing to do with movies, actually bumps movies from the main page, and attracts trolls / dumb arguments like a magnet.
It's the first thing I see when I look at MovieChat.Org on my mobile device.
I'd also probably support getting rid of it. As for "containing the problem", maybe it does somewhat, though because of how wrapped up politics is in the entertainment industry right now there's really no avoiding it permeating anything that touches current affairs, ie Roseanne, James Gunn, etc.
Edit: Actually abigolcwock's idea of taking it out of the trending/latest posts roster is probably the best of both worlds. I really don't understand why people would want to use a movie forum to talk straight politics when there are so many other better places to do that, but to each his ass I guess.
Anyway, at a certain point I stopped reading it and now use an extension to block the picture of homeboy's shit eating grin and that close to effectively extinguishes it from my awareness. Works for me. : )
You can block a particular board? How do you do that?
shareIt would be nice if you could, but I don't think you can. I use the AdBlockPlus Chrome extension's "Block Element" feature to selectively block the board image of Trump from loading, so instead it just shows a blank space with his name below in the trending area on the main page. It's pretty good!

shareBlock the top 6 posters to this board and you will block 90% of the posts. Some members post exclusively on this board. It's obvious they aren't here to discuss TV or movies.
