FOX news has to disable comments on their McCain videos

This morning FOX news had to disable comments on their YouTube page sharing “ memorial” videos to Senator John McCain after their pages were flooded with vitriol from their viewers.

“ Burn in hell”, “ traitor”, “ thanks for dying” were some of the kinder sentiments their Rethuglikkkan viewers shared. One video logged in over 3,000 hateful comments.

In the words of Melania, “ Be best” Rethuglikkkans! “ Be best!”

reply

It just goes to illustrate the disgusting mindset of the average trumptard. The bar is very low.

reply

Yes, but even Trump was somewhat civil about McCain dying. They couldn't even manage that.

reply

A two sentence tweet about McCain was the very least he could do -literally.

reply

That Tweet wasn't about McCain it was condolences to his family. DJT couldn't even muster the dignity to say anything nice about John McCain. DJT was that vindictive, petty and insecure.

reply

It's not all Trump's fault...he's still suffering from the bone spurs.

reply

Why didn't McCain's family die in any of his wars?

Why didn't McCain's family die in any of his wars?
Is this a rhetorical question or a joke question like, "Why did the chicken NOT try and cross the road"?

Tell us, please, please!!

Too low, Trollhouse. Reported, let's see if the mods continue to allow your blatant trolling.

“Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Chief of Staff John F. Kelly and other White House aides advocated for an official statement,” The Post said Sunday. They’d hoped to honor the decorated Vietnam War POW for his years of service to the nation in the Senate and call him a “hero.”

But according to current and former White House aides, “Trump told aides he wanted to post a brief tweet instead, and the statement praising McCain’s life was not released.”

“It’s atrocious,” said Mark Corallo, who once served as a spokesperson for Trump’s legal team. “At a time like this, you would expect more of an American president when you’re talking about the passing of a true American hero.”

reply

And the flags which flew at half-mast on Sunday at the White House were already raised up on Monday morning. Why? Because T-rump isn't fit to be in the Oval Office.

reply

Reminds me of a joke I made a few months ago:

Trump walked into a bar.... Because his supporters lowered it.

reply

Seeing how Russian state media has gone out of their way to savage McCain for being an implacable foe of Russia maybe that's why Trump hates him so much. He sees himself as Putin's rottweiler.

reply

The same hypocrites defending McCain were the same people bashing him and Palin back in 08. Get over yourselves.

reply

McCain was bashed in '08 specifically BECAUSE he picked Palin. It was the affirmative action pick, a naked ploy to win female voters, and it backfired big time when she turned out to be a dumb redneck.

Get a clue.

reply

McCain didn't pick Palin until halfway through the race. He was specifically criticized for being an "extremist" all throughout.

Then he went back to being a moderate.

reply

McCain was criticized as an extremist when he ran in 2008 because he was an unflinching neocon warhawk who had been one of Bush's most vocal supporters of the disastrous Iraqi adventure. His voting record had also become far more staunchly Republican in the previous four years. Earlier in his Senate career he broke with his party to champion the McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform bill into law and actually voted against Bush's early tax cuts that he knew would throttle the debt.

But in Bush's 2nd term, perhaps sensing his upcoming run for president, he started voting like a hardcore orthodox Republican breaking with his earlier principles. He actually voted for Bush's tax cuts when they came up again for extension in 2006. He was a different, more hardline candidate in 2008 than he was in his unsuccessful run in 2000 when he lost to Bush in the primaries. He decided he wasn't going to lose in the GOP primaries again by appearing too moderate, so he went hard right.

Well there are consequences when you go hard right to win the Republican primaries. You're going to have a harder time pivoting to the center for the general election where of course you'll be painted as an extremist. Plus, he'd just been the biggest Iraq war cheerleader in congress. What would you expect?

reply

Yep, McCain was the worst thing that could happen to this country until Obama won the election. Then he was "gracious", "an American hero", "one of the good guys, willing to cross the aisle". Pathetic.

reply

Wrong. McCain was old and the concern was about his airhead VP taking over. She was the worst thing that could happen to the country. Your revisionism is pathetic.

reply

I remember Jon Stewart liking him despite his potential to be George W's successor. I don't think everyone defending him now was bashing him then.

But he has gotten a lot of bashing from people who are tarnishing the good works he did during a trying time in the US.

reply

You can disagree with someone’s views and still think they are a decent person.

reply

Exactly ( though Rethuglikkkans can’t think that way). I disagree with most of McCains policies, and didn’t vote for him. Doesn’t mean I don’t honor the American that he was and his service to our country. Far from it. Especially any Republican at all (Kasich comes to mind) who can stand up to T-rump and put country before party. There is not enough of those in the GOP.

reply

Or the ones that do get voted out of office. (Mark Sanford comes to mind)

Sad that there's not any current office holders that can carry McCain's jockstrap. I have the most contempt for those that are retiring and therefore have no excuse for not just not speaking up, but voting down his nominations. Guys like Flake and Corker could have shown they actually meant it by backing it up with their votes. Ben Sasse has said he won't vote for Corrupt Kavanagh so I'd rate him as the closest thing.

reply

See? This isn't about "disagreeing with McCain but thinking he's a decent person". It's exactly the opposite.

reply

Unlike Trump, he was a decent person. He carried himself with class and wasn't afraid to do the decent thing even if it carried political risks. I disagreed with him about 80% of the time of the issues, but that doesn't alter my view of his decency.

reply

Decent Person being code word for a push over

reply

looolz! He spent 6 years getting tortured as a POW and refused special treatment of early release when Viet Cong found out his dad was commander of all US forces in Vietnam. You're out of your fucking mind if you think he's a pushover.

No, he was a decent person because unlike Trump he refused to stoop to using the inflammatory issue of racial prejudice and bigotry to divide the American electorate to his political advantage when he ran against Obama in 2008. He had ample opportunity and his meathead base was even begging for it at one town hall before he set the record straight. He wasn't a racist, he actually had principles unlike the current occupant.

reply

And his campaign was so boring he had to get Sarah Palin just to try to muster some excitement

reply

And thanks to that erroneous move by the GOP (he did not want Palin - he wanted Lieberman) she opened the door for the likes of nimnuts on the right... and now we have T-rump.

reply

Just face it you Libbies did it to yourselves. You set the bar so low by making your primaries a celebrity contest that decent guys like McCain will never stand a whim of a chance again and you forced McCain to bring out Sarah Palin who is more reminiscent of a Reality TV Star than a competent politician and you forced all the other Republican hopefuls to take a backseat to Trump who again is more reminiscent of a Reality TV Star than a competent politician.

Since ya'll wanted to make it a celebrity contest you will have to learn just like Hollywood that nobody want to go see SJW garbage they want to see things that are rude, crude and as UN-PC as you can get which is why they flocked to go see Deadpool but Ghostbusters 2016 failed.

You will have to learn just like every far left Youtube Channel that has 300 likes to 1059 dislikes that you will get absolutely killed if you want to play the Popularity game.

You are the party that lowered the Presidental bar and now you will reap what you sow

reply

LoL! Last I checked Democrats don't vote in Republican primaries so insisting it's the fault of the 'libbies' that magatards vote for reality tv stars over competent politicians doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

reply

If there's one thing true of Right Wingers it's the live by the motto "Fight Fire with Fire"

reply

Except the Democrats don't really fight with fire. It's the GOP that demeans themselves that way.

reply

Hypocrites? Fuck you, it's more nuanced than that.

I despised 90% of McCain's policies, but I respect his service to this country in uniform & in the Senate.

See the difference?

McCain deserves more respect than this petty BLOTUS is giving him.

reply

The fact of the matter is that Trump has LITERALLY shown far more respect to Putin and Kim than he has many of his own officials. Hell, he told all of us Americans who hated his behavior in Russia that we all have "Trump Derangement Syndrome".

In any rational situation Trump would be seen as an enemy combatant because THAT IS WHAT HE IS. Too bad we have a Congress that does nothing about it.

reply

Mah Russia

reply

Good to know a lot of the citizens realize what kind of scumbag he was. He went against Trump and so became the left's darling. The world is a much better place now for sure.

reply

You GOPricks can't even form a rational argument about who YOU like and admire - so don't even try to understand your mental superiors.

You liked McCain until you didn't. Flip flop much?

McCain is a scumbag you say? McCain said if Hillary won that he'd vote against EVERY SCOTUS candidate she nominated. Is THAT what makes him a scumbag to you?

You supported McCain & Palin rabidly. Was he a scumbag then or just when he voted in a way that allowed people to keep their homes if their kids got cancer?

WAKE UP. Trump promised you a better, cheaper health care plan covering more people. And you think that all-powerful MCCAIN stopped him from achieving that goal?

So what's stopping him today? An 11 o'clock tee time?

reply

So, he's a scrumbag for going against Trump?

I know this is a lot for your diseased brain to process but Trump is a president--not a KING, not a DICTATOR, not an EMPEROR.

We're allowed to turn against a president. This is America. McCain as a scumbag for turning against Trump--he was a man who put his COUNTRY before his PRESIDENT as it SHOULD BE.

Those of you Trumpers who can't get that picture are, as far as I'm concerned, the true enemies of our country.

You sound like a sick, crazy person. What do you think this is? A dictatorship? Psycho...

reply

"So, he's a scrumbag for going against Trump?"

I think 3840 was looking in the mirror when he was seething about a scumbag, but didn't realize what he was seeing. Probably doesn't recognize himself, too many socks and too much trolling.

It causes psychological damage =)

reply

Man, I swear--not one...not ONE Trumper on this board sounds like a normal person. Every single last one of them act like trolls.

reply

What do you expect from the trailer parks? And to think--many of these people identify themselves as "Christian".

I've said this before and I will say it again: many Trumpers are, in many alarming ways, similar to ISIS and Taliban members. The amount of pure, sheer hatred flowing through them is powerful.

They really are cultists. There's something seriously wrong with their brains as well.

reply

You project a lot.

reply

Let's also keep in mind that these Trumpers have the audacity to call McCain (a former POW) an "enemy" and "traitor" but praise Trump (a man who told the entire world on live TV that he trusts Putin more than our own US intelligence agencies) as an "American Hero".

I'm not sorry for saying this but Trumpers have a LOT in common with ISIS in terms of mentality.

reply

They're worse than ISIS.

ISIS was borne in war-ravaged areas where there's a scarcity of food, water, education & health care & virtually no press to report on atrocities.

The US, according to Trump, is in an age of glorious greatness never seen before, the greatest country ever run by the most benevolent smart & stable genius - not to mention healthiest - dear leader ever to salute an American flag with the bluest of stripes.

Did you see the latest Sacha Baron Cohen "Who is America?" Why are Trumpsters so angry & hateful & upset - that they'd be willing to kill peaceful protestors?

Because they have been carefully taught to hate & fear.

Just like ISIS - but worse. Because they're Americans who should know better.

reply

You know what? You're right. For all their nastiness, ISIS didn't have a high a moral ledge to fall from in the first place. These Trumpers, on the other hand, have lived in a civilized and diverse nation all their lives. They had a MUCH higher ledge of morality to fall from to reach their current state.

Scary...

reply

Do you always monolith entire groups of people? Or just "trump supporters"?

reply

Look who learned a new word from “ Fox & Friends” and used it in a sentence! Today’s word is...” monolith” . Remember when Ainsley Earhardt asked her cohosts for the definition of “ oligarch” since she didn’t know what it meant? It wasn’t too long ago...

reply

Wow, are you normally this intellectually dishonest?

reply

They used “ intellectually” on the show this morning, too? You hit the jackpot!

reply

More projection.

reply

OK, you've accused me of projection at leas three times now or whatever. What the HELL am I projecting here, exactly? Do you even know what the word means?

reply

Par for the course of course that he can't even explain what he's even talking about.

The king of projection is actually Trump himself.

reply

Yeah, my inbox here was flooded with ten message alerts for this board yesterday and nearly half of them were all from this guy, accusing me of projection in several threads. It's almost as if he just heard the word for the first time and decided to wild with it, using it as much as possible.

You know, I've yet to see ONE sane, rational, normal Trumper on this board. I know they exist. I know three in my life who are perfectly normal people. Seems like all the Trumpers on this board have mental problems/stunted mental age of about 12.

reply

Ainsley Earhart must have introduced the word "projection" on FOX & FRIENDS. That's how many of the forum posters here learn their vocabulary - from new words mentioned on F&F.

reply

Sadly, this isn't even an exaggeration in some ways.

reply

This isn't even the sickest stuff I've heard Trumpers say.

I've witnessed Trumpers say/post the following things:

-"The border patrol should have shot all those mothers with their children who were crossing our borders!" They were saying this in response to the news of those eight people seeking asylum here.

-"We will bathe the ground with the blood of liberals."

-"The second Civil War is coming and, when it does, we will drag you liberals out of your homes and hang you in the streets."

-"All those illegals in the detention centers should be dumped in a big hole and killed. ALL OF THEM!"

-"I don't feel sorry for those children in cages at all. It's their parent's fault. Our own come first!"

-"Trump should declare open season on all Muslims. I'm armed and ready."

-"The war is coming. I can't wait to kill you liberals!"

-"Deport all the DACA kids! DEPORT THEM ALL!!!"

-"Sterilize the immigrants to stop anchor babies!"

-"Other cultures don't integrate properly into our Christian nation!"

-"Give me your address so I can come to your door and personally teach you to respect our president!"

-"President Trump needs to send drones to Chicago and carpet bomb it!"

-"They need to take those air conditioners out of the illegal immigrant detention centers! Our own come first!"

-"Get out of our country! One of our own could have had that degree! You don't belong here!" They said this in response to the story of a DACA girl graduating from Harvard.

-"Get out of my country and go back to the Philippines! Take your family with you! We don't want you here!" They said this to a Filipino man who came to the US, went back to college, got his degrees all over again in America, became a US citizen, and made something of his life.

There are countless others but let this be a little taste of the hatred, bigotry and misery that exists in the addled brains of many Trumpers. No wonder they voted for and love Trump and his bully tactics.

reply

GOP voters are very prissy people. They're SO particular about who they support, right? (eyeroll)

Mention W to a GOprick now. Same as McCain. And Romney.

GOP voters hate McCain now - because they see him as being disloyal to the current POTUS BLOTUS.

So it's loyalty thing with them. Period. Question mark?

They call McCain the war hero a traitor - because that's what Five Deferment Donny wants them to do.
Loyalty to Trump. Trump! A guy who's never been loyal to any other person his whole life.

The base-base of the GOP denounce their old leaders. Rabidly.

Just as they denied W's & McCain's & Romney's faults & foibles during campaigns to rabidly support them.

The GOP has whiplash. They're whipped by Trump. Whipped into a frenzy. Whipped into mobs. Whipped.

reply

Well, there's GOP and then there's Trumpers. There's definitely a difference from what I've noticed. I know some GOP who are loyal to country over party but Trumpers are some sort of bastardized, mutated hybrid of GOP/Cultist. Trump has found a way to radicalize a large section of GOP into these insane, rabid cultists who place Trump loyalty above all else.

reply

Dude you need a movie screen and bulb for that projector of yours.
