Oh, I don't know about that. She doesn't look Italian to me, but she's no hag ! Actually, while I'm no fan of her overly excitable and perky persona, she looks really foxy in that commercial. Her blue eyes are WIDE, doesn't look like she has a line on her face, (and she's not that young), and she's having fun. Really, I'd rather pay attention to Taylor Swift than Kelly Ripa, but KR ain't so bad.

Her last name sounds Italian. I read she is of Italian-Irish descent.

I think she only just recently found out how Italian she is when she first did the Ancestry thing. Who knows how accurate that crap is. She talked about it on the show and they dove all over that and made her a spokesperson quick. I don't find anything disingenuous about that. Anyhow, it's her job to sell stuff on tv whether she believes in it or not, that's what a talking head does. But she'll be pretty quick to diss something she don't care for.

Italians are "Celts" and in the north are blonde and have blue eyes. They stayed in Italy because they do well and had no need to come to the US.

The Italians in the south are mixed with blacks from ancient times and Arabs. They have the criminal disorganization we are familiar with and they had poverty so they came to the US. The people in the North do not like them due to their behavior.
