Has never lead a good film

He is a good actor but all the films where he is a lead are either mediocre or downright terrible. Needs a better agent.

The Hunt is great.

reply

You beat me to it!

reply

I was also coming to add that!

reply

I liked that one where he was a silent Viking.

reply

Valhalla Rising!

I was just coming here to say that one! To me, that was like a cerebral art film was strapped to the front of a train and an action film was strapped to another train and then they rammed the trains into one another at top speed. Loved it.

reply

I like that analogy!

reply

It was that or a reference to Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

reply

Seconding this, Valhalla Rising is a superb pre-Drive Nicolas Winding Refn flick.

reply

I never realised Drive and Valhalla Rising were directed by the same chap. That actually makes a LOT of sense. I think I prefer VR, but Drive was quite good.

reply

He was absolutely stellar in Hannibal and Polar. Both of which I thoroughly enjoyed. He was also fantastic in Adam's Apples, Flickering Lights and Pusher which are also quite good.

reply

I agree with Moonglum, who mentioned Valhalla Rising. I'd also say Flame and Citron, although he's more of a "co-lead" there.

Frankly, though, I haven't seen a lot of films where he leads. I'm not sure he's that kind of an actor.

reply

Watch "Jagden".

reply

"Jagten" or "The Hunt".

reply

POLAR is a very good film.

reply

He KILLS it in POLAR.

reply

What are you talking about? Another Round is up for a couple Oscars.

reply

It's a good movie; however, the fact that something is up for Oscars has become meaningless.

reply

I've seen a few films he led ("lead" to you), and they were all very good.
