He's "that guy".

He's one of those guys who you can't name a single thing he's been in, but you know you've seen him in everything.

He's certainly a 'that guy'

You gotta love 'that guy'

reply

I love "that guys" in general. Even "that girls". I posted on Beth Grant's board an hour ago. She's a legend.

Dang, 232 gigs!
That might be a record

I dig the character actors and bit players even more than the Streeps and Pitts of the world

THATS D DAY FROM ANIMAL HOUSE.

reply

Yep. For some reason it took me years to make connection - I think it's because he seemed to age so quickly.

reply

at certain angles he looks like a bloated and older Brendan Frasier

reply

I don't see it.

reply

More bloated and older than Frasier already is?

reply

I couldn't think of what I'd seen him in right away, but you're partly right in that he's "that guy."

I think a more relevant statement would be that he's one of those guys that you recognize him and know I've seen him in a lot, but you can't recall his name.

It seems there are plenty of posters here that instantly recognize him from MacGyver, My Cousin Vinny, Timecop, and others. Seeing his photo and remembering what he was in is one thing. Knowing his name is something else.

reply

I use that term "that guy" loosely. I can name so many things Luis Guzman is in, but I still consider him "that guy".

reply

I don't disagree with your use of the term. And Luis Guzman is another great example.

I just think that it's more likely that people will remember what "that guy" was in, then they would remember what his name is.

Another one for me for a long time was Steve Buscemi. I could name probably 10 things he was in over 15 years before I ever knew his name.

reply

Are you kidding me? He was MacGyver’s best friend, Jack Dalton. This guy is an acting legend.

reply

A few people have brought that up. I've never seen MacGyver.

reply

I’ve never felt more sorry for someone in my entire life.

reply

Do you like the rockford files?

I've watched a few episodes of that. That was good

reply

Sorry. Not a big fan of TV, especially the 80s. I'm a movie guy.

reply

I’m a human guy.

I was hoping you said that you did a Captcha when you were logging in.

reply

Wrong, he was awesome as Major Ed Ryan in the incredible Babylon 5 episode, "Severed Dreams".

reply

Haha just saw it on trending

And I'm like. Oh that guy! I want to watch something with that guy in it!
