The man that destroyed star wars

And all because he wanted to be something different and let us talk about his randomness, well I hope I was worth it rian

he put star wars in a dead end, nowhere to go from there this is why palpatine had to come back. this guy is a cancer.

reply

JJ Abrams ruined SW.

reply

first half of TFA was decent

reply

Agreed. Abrams is the cancer.

I hate comments like yours Módica (I’ve seen others from you defending RJ and blaming JJ)
TFA was a popular film and set up some nice new characters and possible story lines. It’s still enjoyable to watch today.
TLJ was hated and condemned upon release and ruined SW forever as the OP stated.

reply

Sorry, I am not here to please you or anyone else. I don't care if Abrams film was popular or not. It didn't feel like a real Star Wars movie to me. I was a Star Wars fan probably long before you were in diapers, so I make no apologies to you or anyone else about how I should feel. BTW, TLJ made a good deal more money than the final film in the trilogy, so if you rate movies on box office, that means The Rise of Skywalker is the worst film of the 3. And who directed that one? I'm waiting...

reply

Agreed, I enjoyed TFA

reply

No, it wasn't.

reply

Also the man who killed Luke Skywalker.

reply

The Man who made Luke a realistic and relatable as opposed to here previous incarnations he made luke the best

reply

Even if you think that he still killed him off.

I respect Johnson for the same reason I respect Lucas' efforts with the prequels: this dude tried. He went somewhere outrageous and courageous with the story, and tried to bring some fresh ideas and perspectives into Star Wars. He was handed mystery boxes in a committee-built foundation and tried to go somewhere cool with it.

He failed. That's parallel to Lucas, too. Lucas built up the prequels and tried to build a cool new story in his world in a way that would echo the original without aping it. I think Lucas failed here, too, serving up lukewarm swill that he tried to make flavourful by burying it under CGI.

But I don't like to rag on either of them - Lucas or Johnson - for giving something strange a shot.

I respectfully disagree TLJ is one the best Sequels also on Par with ESB and other Non Sequels Along with BR 2049,Terminator 2 and Aliens you should be grateful he was preparing for a post-skywalker without the Skywalkers My favorite of 2017

Sigh. Whatever.

reply

I would rather watch "something different" than "shameless ripoff New Hope".

8 is better than 7 and 9. He's better than Jar Jar Abrams.

reply

8 is far by the worst

reply

Between 7, 8 and 9 I hate 8 the least, that’s not saying much , it’s still an F in my book

reply

He's let us down. He doesn't have his trilogy as backstories to the prequel trilogy.
