Why does everyone forget about Paris Hilton’s history of racism and anti-black remarks?

The scrubbing of Hilton’s expressed racism, it seems, began virtually immediately: On February 2, 2007, TMZ ran a post with the headline “Paris the Bigot? Hilton Drop the N-Bomb, F-Bomb.” By February 4, 2007, the date of the earliest available archive of the TMZ page that contained the post, its contents had been removed. Nonetheless, a sweep of the remnants of the remaining 2007-era internet supports many of the claims in the Pop Culture Died in 2009 post.

The video that does still reside on the internet features Hilton and her younger sister Nicky Hilton dancing together, captured in night vision at a house party. As the Notorious B.I.G.’s “Hypnotize” plays, they move with sweeping exaggerated movements. At one point, Hilton approaches the camera and exclaims, “We’re like two *******!” She resumes dancing with her sister.

Later in the clip, she rants about an apparent fellow party attendee, whom she refers to as a “fuckin’ hoodlum broke, poor bitch from, like, Compton. Public school bitch!” She then immediately refers to a male friend she dances with as a “f****.”

I think no one cares

reply

Kudos to Paris for never apologizing to the insane woke mob.

reply

Celebrities *never* apologise.

You don't get it.

It's not about feeling bad for one's privileges, and feeling *genuine* contrition to *genuinely* oppressed people.

It's all about IMAGE. It's all about playing the victim.

And for one to be the 'hero' and the 'martyr', one must NEVER admit one's failings. NO. The way to court the 'right' kind of attention and support, from the 'right' people, is to obfuscate the times one was a racist, a homophobe, a transphobe, an anti-Semite, an Islamophobe, an ableist and/or a classist, and, instead, lash out at *other* people's failings (targeting Trump, or any other self-identifying Republican, is usually a good strategy), or, better yet, make oneself to be *the victim* ("Oh, I can't be a racist/homophobe/drink-driver/bully/abuser etc, because *I* was 'raped', 'abused', and 'exploited' myself"...*sigh* Sure you were, love. Yes, *you're* the victim. Always. And NOT the people we've SEEN you HURT with our own FUCKING EYES).

Honestly, I should be a publicist (NOT that I'd want to be - those people are the WORST), because I know the strategy like the back of my hand:

1. Deflect. DEFLECT. DEFLECT!!!!

2. ALWAYS. PLAY. THE. VICTIM. Remember, it's never *your* fault, and what *you've* done to others. It's what *others* have done to you. Hell, even systemic abusers like R Kelly, and privileged white male accused sex offenders like Armie Hammer, have played the old "But...but...*I* was abused as a kid..." bullshit excuse.

reply

Indeed. Not much of a reputational pedestal to fall off of.
Cancelling is about knocking down ppl a peg.

reply

She doesn't bows to the woke nonsense. That's why they don't go after her.

reply

Can't forget when you never remember!

reply

Using the N word doesn't mean she (or anyone) is racist.

reply

What fucking planet are you from!? How exactly is it not racist then? What exactly is intent of using the N word (especially from a white person) in the first place then?

reply

Well, to answer that you must first tell me what the definition of the N word is.

reply

"What exactly is intent of using the N word in the first place then?"

You need to ask that question to all the rappers who use it.

reply

You're being willfully ignorant. Black people using the word doesn't come from a perceived place of racial superiority. It's like women calling each other bitches or homosexuals reclaiming the word "queer". The implication of your statement is lazy and obtuse.

reply

"It's like women calling each other bitches"

Uhm no, if I call a woman a bitch, I'm not trying to "reclaim" the word, I simply mean she's a bitch. You're being willfully whiny and sanctimonious...as always. 🍆

reply

Your reading comprehension is lacking. I didn't say women were reclaiming the word bitch. You conveniently ignored the main point of may reply.🤔

If calling out bigots who disrespect others is "being willfully whiny" then so be it. I'll be that.

reply

You simply failed to make your point and to understand mine...as usual...

If a woman has the right to call out a true bitch, then so has a man, because it has nothing to do with sexism.

If a black person can call another black person the n-word without a sense of racial superiority, then so can a white person.

Got it, D-feet? Nah, of course you don't, because trolling is all you can do.

reply

In theory, what you say tracks. The problem is, no one can peer into another's mind and divine their intent. The fact that the n-word is a well known racial slur with a deep history associated with pain and dehumanization should be sufficient for white people to self censor. If you choose not to then I'm well within reason to conclude you're a bigot. Your intent is irrelevant.

Also, you keep talking as if you're familiar with me. I must be getting famous with the conservacuck racist crowd.

reply

If only pathetic trolls like you would self-censor. Go to bed and play with your 🍆, D-feet.🙃

reply

Good one.😒

reply

There's a BIG difference between a white person using that word to put down Black people, and Black people trying to reclaim and detoxify that word for their *own* benefit.

That said, I'm not a fan of *anyone* using that word, regardless of their own race. I wouldn't try to censor a Black person from using a word designed to demean *them* but at the same time, I can't say I approve of its usage under any circumstances (other than in a matter-of-fact documentary sense to refer to other people's use of the term). It sends the wrong message.

And, fwiw, various Black people, including Chris Rock, have been criticised by other Black people for using that term, so whilst it's FAR worse for white people to use the 'N-word,' don't pretend that Black people have been given a *complete* pass for using it themselves.

reply

I don't care about any supposed "difference". If it's such an offensive term, it's a fair question to ask to those who casually throw it around on a frequent basis.

reply

*sigh*

I've just stated that I disapprove of the term *entirely*. I think it sends the wrong message, any time *anyone* uses it, but ultimately, I am white, and I'm guessing you are too. Is it our place to police what Black people say *in reference to* Black people? We can suggest why it's an unhelpful term (especially to use in the presence of white children and low IQ white people, who may, wrongly, get the idea that it's 'okay' after hearing Black people use it), but, ultimately, Black people are entitled to use anti-Black epithets, whether we like it or not.

reply

Yes, it's really tiring to use different standards for different people, isn't it?

"ultimately, Black people are entitled to use anti-Black epithets, whether we like it or not"

Lol, well, ULTIMATELY, White people are also entitled to use any epithet, whether we like it or not. Thankfully there's no law against that.

reply

Well, knock yourself out and feel free to use the word 'honky' as much as you like. 🙂🤷‍♂️

reply

I said ANY epithet, so if I wanted to I could use the h-word or the n-word or any other word that someone out there finds offensive.🤷‍♀️

reply

Sorry, but no. If you're white, you do NOT get a pass to use the n-word, and, depending upon the context, you could potentially be prosecuted for a hate crime were you to use the word in public, especially in an intentionally abusive manner.

reply

Just using the n-word is not a hate crime. Sorry, crybaby.🍆

reply

Of course. It depends on the context. But why would you want to use the 'n' word?

reply

Nope, the n-word can bump up an offense to a hate crime, but it's not a hate crime in itself. And over here, the legal concept of a hate crime doesn't even exist.

Why are you assuming I want to use the n-word??? I certainly didn't say I want to. I'm simply pointing out that black people may have the freedom to use the n-word, but so do white people. Whether you like it or not...

reply

What fucking planet are you from!? How exactly is it not racist then? What exactly is intent of using the N word (especially from a white person) in the first place then?

It depends on the context. Saying the word, is a lot different than calling someone the word.

If the only thing that matters to you is the race of the person saying it. Then YOU are being racist. That’s the very definition of racism.

reply

The dumb bitch should be spend the rest of her life in a forced labor camp. But who cares about such trivial use of the 'n' word?

reply

Why are only those of sub-Saharan descent allowed to say the word "nigger?" It is in almost every rap song I hear on the radio, but if a white person utters it, they are somehow the scum of the earth? Why?

reply

Why does Laura Nunez get to be the arbiter of who gets to use a particular word? Who granted her that power? What if I was quarter sub-Saharan? Would I be able to say it in public then?

reply

NOBODY SHOULD...THAT'S KIND OF THE POINT.🤔

reply

100% AGREED! No-one should use the word, but it's clearly FAR worse when a white person uses it.

reply

Seriously? You have to ask?!?

Like I said elsewhere, I don't particularly approve of *anyone* using the word, but there's a BIG difference between a white person using a word historically used by white people to subjugate Black people, and Black people reclaiming that word in order to remove the systemic power it has historically held over them.

reply

A TOXIC combination of (right-wing) socioeconomic elitism *and* ('left-wing') 'feminist' simping.

Let's be 100% fucking honest for a single moment...Who has all the cultural power in the world right now?

RICH WHITE WOMEN. They're the style, fashion and *cultural* arbiters. Whilst other constituencies are engaged in science, law, economics and other *hard* and *academic* disciplines, RICH WHITE WOMEN are the ones who dictate how we think, via their domination of the editorship of most magazines, newspapers, 'literature', and increasingly TV and film.

They play both sides, courting the mindless support of right-wing men who will simp for rich white people, particularly if they're attractive blue-eyed blondes, and the mindless support of liberals in general, particularly 'left-wing' men who will simp for white women, particularly if they're attractive 'celebrities' (the modern 'left', although it *should be* militantly *anti-elitism* has this weird fucked-up obsession with celebrity culture, partly, once again, because of the influence of women and gay men, and the mindless need of straight white 'liberal' men to *pander* to those two constituencies, rather than uphold the proud tradition of pure blue-collar working-class post-industrial *socialism*, which is *despised* these days by the post-neoliberal 'left' for its 'macho' associations. After all, who cares about the steel workers, coal workers, engineers, mechanics, and so on, if they're all mostly men, and, worse, often *poor* straight white men? These people, once traditionally the *backbone* of left-wing socialist movements, are now regarded as the *enemy*... *sigh* 🙄🤦‍♂️).

reply

And obviously, now that Paris Hilton has decided to ditch her lucrative reputation as the spoiled rich mindless fun-loving party-girl (which was always good for a laugh, and a much more upbeat, happy, and thus *positive* persona than other options), and has sadly recognised which way the wind is turning, and that it's no longer adorable in one's forties to play the ditzy, mindless, out-of-touch rich girl, she has depressingly jumped on the 'victim' bandwagon (see also Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, and other mindless contemporaries). It doesn't pay to play the bimbo once a lady hits 40, so, what is the alternative? Oh yeah, compose a memoir about how one's happy, care-free, seemingly spoiled existence as a rich white girl was 'all a facade' back in the day, and one was 'in fact' suffering inside from all the trauma of being 'sexually, physically and psychologically abused'...

Talk about gaslighting. Not of *them* but of *US* (i.e. "I'm a spoiled rich blonde white girl and it's my prerogative to NOW make the rest of you all feel bad for going along with the image *WE* cultivated during our earlier years.")

No doubt the usual players, the MeToo brigade, will attack me for my 'misogyny' *sigh*. But I see them. I see the bullshit, and I recognise what these *powerful* *rich* *white* women are doing. They're using their femininity to hide their myriad of systemic privileges (apparently being a woman trumps their systemic wealth/social connections and their race/ethnicity).

But I feel NO guilt. I've NEVER raped a woman, hit a woman, cheated on a woman, gaslit a woman (etc). That's for the *simps* like Harvey 'I donate BIGTIME to the Hillary Clinton campaign and contribute to many women's charities' Weinstein, and other *guilty* men.

reply

Sorry ladies, but I haven't fallen into the trap. I'm not the (bad) man you want me to be. I'm the *good guy*, which is definitely NOT the same as the so-called 'nice guy', although how long will it be before women turn the phrase into a negative one (see the modern control RICH WHITE women have of semantics, including 'mansplaining', 'Nice Guy', and the toxicity of 'Not All Men'...because, heaven forbid that a man should ever offer a suggestion or an opinion, or *actually* be nice, and not be a rapist or a domestic abuser.

I now wait the usual mendacious dullards to compare me to Andrew Tate (etc) and other parts of the 'manosphere', even though my entire message, attitude, history and treatment of women couldn't be MORE different than those *actual* misogynists (who tend, on balance, to exploit, abuse, demean, hurt and degrade *poor* women, often of colour and/or members of minorities and disenfranchised nationalities, and certainly NOT rich spoiled blonde/blue-eyed American brats like Paris Hilton and her socioeconomically powerful ilk, who could *VERY* easily get daddy to strike down on thee, any time a man *genuinely* hurt them...)

reply

Paris who?

reply

Why does everyone forget about Paris Hilton

You probably could’ve stopped there. She hasn’t been relevant in at least 15 years, and when she was, she wasn’t exactly the beacon of morality. She is the epitome of rich, privileged, and spoiled. And she was known for partying because she had nothing else to do with her life. No one likes her, they watched her because she was a train wreck.

I doubt she’s racist, her best friend is Nicole Ritchie. I think it’s more likely that they think they are better 99% of all people due to her wealth. But even if she is racist, I don’t care, my opinion will f her couldn’t possible be any lower.

reply

That's not true.

Everyone adores her, especially now she has come out with all these allegations about how she was 'abused' when she was younger.

Yes, this hideously spoiled, hideously rich, hideously racist, classist and homophobic, rich white individual is now the 'victim'... *sigh* 🙄🤦‍♂️

reply

Bear in mind that anti-Black male racism and anti-gay male homophobia is 'acceptable' amongst most 'progressive' circles these days.

But heaven forbid anyone says anything marginally critical about a rich blonde WASP woman in the post-MeToo era, no matter how RACIST, HOMOPHOBIC, ANTI-SEMITIC and ABUSIVE those rich blonde WASP women may be.

Remember, if you're rich, blonde and pretty, you get an automatic pass to be as nasty, offensive, rude and bigoted as you want, and us simps will continue the tradition of these spoiled little rich girls' daddies, by enabling their self-deluded, exceptionalist BULLSHIT. 😠

"I did not watch my buddies die face down in the muck so that this fucking strumpet, this fucking whore, could waltz around."
