her career is over, she's lucky bc most actresses of her ilk only get 5 or 10 years of being a star.

and hasn't been a star since about 10 years ago. she hasn't had a starring role in a big movie in so long i guess the total recall remake was it and that was when? 2014 maybe, a long time ago.

haven't you noticed jessica hasn't been in any big movie for the last 5 years maybe 10 years. her career is over. she had a better than she deserved and was worth run. being a bad actress, she never went to acting classes or never learned from them, she was always just eye candy and you can only go so far with those two things, one working against you and the other working for you.

the fact she was famous and in starring roles in big movies for about 13 years was longer than most actresses of her qualifications get. for most it's 5 years and for a very small amount of actresses it's 10 years.

women tennis players and basketball players don't take time off for their just born babies? serena williams took one year off, just enough time to get her body in shape after being pregnant bf she was back to playing teniss and not taking care of her baby.

What exactly do you consider a career?

She's had a few series in the last few years, including the Sinner which she also produces. But no, just because she's not acting in huge budget movies, she has no career. Yeah, okay.

whether you want to believe it or not doesn't matter, because it doesn't change the reality that her career is over. her career as a starring role big movie actress is over which means her career as a star is over. sure she might get producing work or small big parts in small movies but her career as a leading lady in big movies is over.

she was a flash in the pan. her career was always only about looks never about substance and acting so she lost her career rightly.

she was a failure as an actress.

in her case being a star is having a career. she was always trying to be a star and she was a star. she was one of the most famous actresses about 10 years ago and was a leading actress, and star of a big movie every year from about 2004 to 2014.

We do disagree on her star power and those big movies. She had the Illusionist, Blade Trinity, Total Recall, and The A-team, but she wasn't the lead in any of them. I think she's had a solid career, and I think her move back to tv has been good for her. She's working steady. That is a career. Not everyone is CEO, but that doesn't mean that the CEO is the only one with a career.

have you been living under a rock for the last 20 years? i think if you asked anyone they would say she used to be a star along with scarlett johansson, emma stone, jessica alba, nicole kidman, and reece witherspoon. she was one of those big names. a star, the same as any big star actress in hollywood who is in big movies like meg ryan.

you never noticed that she was the main actress in a big movie every year for about 10 years from summer catch, to hitchcock, chuck and larry, to the illusionist, to stealth, to blade trinity to the a-team to total recall? she wasn't just a reality "star", celebrity she was a movie star. meaning, she was the main star girl actress in big movies.

did you live in a foreign country other than the us in these years? or did you not watch tv and watch movies in these years? she was the main star actress in total recall, the a-team, blade:trinity, and the illusionist.

Well, I don't live in the US so I guess that makes me a foreigner. You are the one saying that she has failed as an actress, and that her career is over. The movies that you mentioned were the same ones I mentioned and I disagree that she was the main star. In Total Recall Colin Farrell is the star, Kate and Jessica are not. In the A-Team, Liam Neeson, and Bradley Cooper are the stars, with Jessica and whoever was B.A. and Murdoch were not. In Blade Trinity, she was a lot more prominent, but she still shared the spotlight with Ryan Reynolds, and even Wesley Snipes. In the Illusionist, again it was a decent role, but she shared that with Edward Norton.

I'm not the one saying that her career is over. I'm saying that she has had steady work since 7th Heaven, and that I don't consider her to have been a super A-Lister. I think she's done well, and continues to do well.

you're wrong because in every movie there is a main starring actress, leading actress, well almost every movie, the only examples i can think of where this doesn't happen is predator and the departed.
in total recall jessica is the main starring actress along with kate beckinsale, so jessica is one of the stars, you're wrong about that. in the a-team jessica is one of the stars along with liam and bradley.

yeah every actor shares a spotlight in a movie with another actor, so of course she shared the spotlight with wesley and ryan in blade: trinity. she is the star in blade: trinity. again, every actor shares a spotlight with another actor, so she's the star along with edward norton even though she is a star in the illusionist.
