Needs to put his money where his mouth is!!

Hank has a net worth of $90,000,000 according to the internet. That is more than enough to ensure his family will be well taken care of for generations.

Since he feels so guilty about his 30 year characterization of Apu, the I suggest he no longer take royalties for performing the character and donate them to an India based charity.

In The Bird Cage, he played Agador who is a caricature of a LatinX LGBTQ. He is neither Latin X or LGBTQ. He should apologize and dedicate his future royalties to appropriate charities.

To show he is really serious, he should refuse to take tax deductions for the charitable contributions. That would offset the money he made for the past 30 years of doing these offensive portrayals.

reply

You know full well that's not happening

reply

I said he needs to do it. Of course, he won't. He's a limousine liberal .

reply

What he NEEDS to do is remember that he is an actor and start acting again rather than kowtowing to this nonsense.

reply

Even better!

reply

He's so lame. Fck him

reply

That actually makes sense.
He needs atonement.
Saying sorry is insulting if he keeps the profits made with that specific role he is sorry for.
Otherwise, keep the money and stfu.

BTW apu is offensive, so is fat tony etc. I think they are meant to be.

reply

Most TV characters are offensive.

reply

I genuinely feel sorry for the losers of today that get triggered by TV/film characters that they find offensive.

reply

And the multi-millionaires like Hank who cater to them to keep his name in the news and his millions coming in.

reply

Someone should tell him it’s called ‘acting’. When you’re acting, you’re playing someone you are not.

I said future royalties for paying Apu and Agador , so he would not lose money previously earned.

On point about Nancy!!!

He'll do none of those things. The ONLY reason he apologized is to ensure he can keep working and taking in more money. He doesn't give two shits about Indians or any of the other groups he parodied, and he certainly doesn't care about the future or the cancellation of other folks over perceived slights who can use his example of how people should act.

He's a piece of shit. I can smell him from here.

reply

You got that right.

reply

You know none of 'em do. This thing that I've been doing for years was wrong. And now that I might get "cancelled", gotta say that it was wrong & stuff

So yeah, my bad. 😅

Actions speak louder than words. You're absolutely right. If they were serious or actually meant it, they'd put their money where their mouth is. But the apologies & all of it is just for show. Like always

Bunch of Hypocrites.

reply

Hell, yeah! If only the media would call them out! :-)

reply

Can't judge all of them, cause I don't watch them all but from the ones I've seen, The media are biased af. They choose who to ''go after" and intensely focus on

The bunch of hypocrites bit applies to them too tbh

reply

Are you on drugs?

He shouldn't give any money to Indians because they were entertained by him. Only self hating Americans of Indian heritage took offence because they wish they weren't indian.

I'm Irish, did I lose my shit everytime the leprechaun appeared on screen?

Or jokes about us being drunk? Or whacking day starting off as an excuse to beat up the Irish?

reply

You probably should read the entire thread.
