Why did Robin Williams commit suicide???

shareMental health. I think he suffered from bipolar mania, which means that a lot of the time he was probably unbelievably depressed. It's brain chemistry and the mind he had made him get the blues in a bad way.
His loss is felt by everybody who loves comedy deeply. He was such a great performer and, so I've heard, a lovely guy.
May he rest in peace...

shareFor the same reasons those who suicide do so. He let external reality affect him. Suicide does not rid you of your problems. They follow you through all your reincarnations until you muster the courage to resolve them, to come to the realization that you are not a being of this world.

Well I pray you regain hope for some belief and find peace.
Back then, I did not let external reality affect me, because I believed there was a God. Now I know there is not one. Nothing will happen after death. I will just perish. So everything is pointless.
shareI think you're in a bad way, but will hope you will pull through and not see everything through a negative lens. We've all had our low points. Try not to think harshly of yourself and others. Something can mean worlds to you but be pointless to another, and vice versa. Everything matters even if we dont understand it. I wish you well

shareInteresting enough most comedians once you dig into their lives, they are quite depressed people. Also I think he once was worth over 100 million and divorced 3 times, by the time of his death he was broke. That alone I think would be enough to explain his suicide.
shareHis death shouldn't count as a legitimate suicide. He had a condition called Lewy Body Dementia which is somewhat related to Parksinson's but has much different effects as it causes dementia. The 'Lewy Bodies' were eating away at his brain making life unbearable.
