the weekly guide is in most Sunday papers. i like looking at the movie channels & sporting schedule

reply

No, I haven't for decades.
It was a nice little publication for it's time but maybe the internet made it obsolete..?

I'm not sure if they even print it anymore,

reply

The initial cost of each issue was 15¢ per copy (equivalent to $1.64 in 2022; the price of each issue has gradually risen over the years, selling for $4.99 per copy as of 2024) Still going strong. Mostly in the heartlands.

reply

Yeah, that was a good one. I liked that Yankee Magazine as well, I wonder what happened to that one.

reply

They operated independently for years. The big guys squeezed them out of biz I believe.

reply

Too bad, that was a good one.

reply

I agree, times change. Not always for the better 🤷‍♂️

reply

Not for decades.

reply

I haven't read TV Guide(the smaller TV Guide like back in the day) in probably 30 years

reply

Not anymore after the quality went down. I used to anticipate the Fall issue weeks in advance and read it cover to cover circling all the new series that I planned to watch.

reply

We used to get local channel listings in the TV Guide years ago.

Then it turned into a gossip rag and they stopped local listings.

Haven't looked at a TV Guide in decades.

reply

No. Not for like 2 decades. I switched to online guides for a while but I haven't used that for almost a decade now.
