Anybody still using just one monitor?

I just can't imagine using one PC monitor anymore and I mean on your personal desktop - not work. I guess I've become so adjusted to always having something running or playing on a second screen. Maybe this isn't as different as before, I used to have one monitor, but then a TV running next to me.

AS SOMEONE WHO USES ONE MONITOR AND WATCHS FILMS ON A TV...HOW DO YOU HOOK UP TWO MONITORS AND HAVE TWO THINGS ON TWO SCREENS AT THE SAME TIME?

reply

Locate the display ports on your computer and just plug them in. Most computers nowadays have at least one HDMI port or if you using an older computer you probably have a VGA and you could also use adapters from the USB ports. Once they are hooked up just simply change your display setting in Windows to extend.

THAT EASY,HUH?

On some things you don't need a physical connection.
Apple Airplay let's me display my iMac or iPhone onto my Large Screen TV just over some kind of bluetooth networking into my ROKU box.

Mirror or extend your Mac display to an Apple TV

I only use one. They gave me a second one at work. I tried it out and, no joking, I felt like I was getting seasick from the images going from one screen to the other. I gave the second one back.

I only use laptops. My sperm count at this point is probably pitiful.

Not a bad thing unless you're trying for some kids.

I've read articles about the drug companies trying to create male birth control and here I am ahead of the game by over a decade.

I have four monitors but I only use one at a time.

I just use an Apple phone for fun stuff and a work issued laptop for the job. My techy skills are limited so this is a fair arrangement.

my computers are hooked to tvs
i just use multiple desktops. been using them in linux for years. i switch between desktops by pressing ctrl-alt left or right. its quicker than opening and closing windows after its setup how you like.

With Apple you just press your 3rd mouse button and all your virtual screens like up at the top of your screen and you can choose one without the keyboard at all - but you can use the keyboard too if you wish. It's the best setup I've seen.

I'm happy with my iMac 27" 5K Retina display.
I don't like 2 monitors because of having to track the mouse between two monitors.
What I like about my Apple iMac is the virtual screens where I can have a whole bunch of different screens and switch through them by pressing the middle mouse button.
