do you like your parents?
be honest.
mostly no
shareNo, because they made it clear from the get-go that they didn't like me.
yes. they were salt of the earth people who wanted a better life for their kids. they succeeded in that endeavor. they both had a great sense of humor and were very musically inclined. they also knew what absolute poverty was as kids during the depression as newfoundland had third world conditions in some areas of the then british colony.
sharethey sound like wonderful people. Thank you for sharing.
shareI love my parents very much. I had a great childhood.
I miss them every day. My dad passed away 17 years ago and my mom passed 2 years ago.
As people, no. As parents, absolutely not. They're both good cooks, though. I'll give them that.
shareFYI, everybody, the OP is a man.

But he’s going by the name Connie. That’s his prerogative, but, combined with his reluctance to explain the relevance of his topic, that raises at least a small red flag for me. So does modeling the topic format on Jerry Springer.
Thanks for the heads up.
shareImo it doesn't really matter, but okay.
shareIt’s always good to hear from you. I am glad you’re still here!
shareThanks. I'm just getting up to more irl, but never fear, if Game of Thrones has taught us anything (and it probably hasn't, since I've not watched the show all the way through), Wint3r is coming. Good to see you're still around also, if only to call out the noobs.
