How good are you at recalling your dreams?

On 1 to 10 scale?

reply

Probably a 1. I know I have pretty rich dreams where I dream up movies but I never remember the details when I wake up so I don’t know how weird and bad they are. The stuff that I can remember is being able to fly and having a smartphone or light fixture that I can’t get to work.

reply

I have dreamt about flying too and had all sort of weird dreams.

reply

Very bad
3/10 maybe, the most vivid memories are sex, work and real estate dreams

I have a fairly frequent dream of inheriting a vast Victorian house that I need to fix up and it’s loaded with beautiful antiques and secret rooms and there’s a sort of threatening presence in the home

Jeez, that sounds like something to tell a psychiatrist!

reply

"and real estate dreams"

Sounds exciting!😆

reply

Weird, right?
I watch a lot of Home and Garden TV, I’m into antiques and I love that Trulia.com…Stop shaming me😤

reply

I clicked on that link and it showed my own hometown of Rotterdam, but when I clicked on the search button, the results were all in San Francisco! That's not the same.😕

Does Martha Stewart ever show up in your dreams? Because that could be pretty hawt!

reply

That’s strange, I have no idea why that would be, maybe try the search bar for Rotterdam, it’s a great site, you can ‘ballpark’ what price your place is and locate another place fairly quickly

Martha Stewart was pretty cute a while ago

reply

I think it only works for the US.🤔

Hey, according to Snoop Dogg she's SMOKING hot!🚬

reply

Funny thing, I used to be a lot better.

I have no idea why I'm worse at it than I used to be, I used to able to recall lots of plot twists and details long enough to write them down, now they're usually gone in a couple of seconds.

reply

Yes, usually dreams are gone very fast.

reply

Between a 6 or 7.

reply

I used to be around a 7-10, but this past decade it levels around 0-4 on average.

reply

As long as your dreams are filtering, I hope you end up remembering well.

reply

Depends on how well I’m sleeping at the time. If I’m restless and waking a lot during the night I tend to remember my dreams quite well the next day. If I sleep heavily though I might remember a few details as soon as I wake up, but it fades pretty quickly.

reply

Most days, I'd say 9. I recall a dream I had 4 nights ago vividly. That's usually how it is with my dreams, they're very lingering.
Less often, 3-4. Dreams can really slip away from me sometimes and only leave traces other times.

reply

You have a good memory. Most people get lost in their dreams.

reply

Thank you, but I don't think it has anything to do with how good one's memory is. It's more about how lucid your dreams are to begin with (in my case, very lucid) and also just what your mind lets you hold onto, it's not like a test you can study for or something.

reply

Maybe you're right, and I haven't read about the topic enough.

reply

I'm no expert, so it's not like I've read many books on the topic either. I just don't think it's up to anyone whether they can remember, or how much. It's all just up to your brain, it's not a skill or a talent.

reply

I can usually remember my dreams in sharp detail if they happened right before I wake up. Sometimes I have two or three dreams merge with each other, often with the plot blending into the next one. Even weirder, it "makes sense" when I'm in the dream, but once I'm awake, it all sounds ludicrous.
