Historical People Who Should Have Biopics

Who are some historical people you think should have biopics made about them? (These don't have to be people you personally like, just people you think should have their life brought to the screen.)

Here are some people I think biopics should be made about:

Nikola Tesla
Bob Ross
David Bowie
Dr. Seuss
Aretha Franklin
Eleanor Roosevelt
Sally Ride
H.P. Lovecraft
Evel Knievel
Alice Stebbins Wells

reply

Anton Szandor LaVey, founder of the church of Satanism, part time musician and all-around American huckster and total Bullshit artist

I suspect this ‘church’ was set up as a tax shelter and a freak show to sell literature and cause orgies amongst weirdos

It could make for a funny biopic starring Jack Black, there is a physical resemblance there and Black is a funny guy

reply

I would *so* get behind that. A funny biopic about LaVey starring Jack Black? Count me in!

reply

There was a movie about Bowie last year.

reply

I just looked it up. How have I not heard about this? Thanks for letting me know!

Saladin
Attila The Hun
Boudica/Boadicea
Ancient Zimbabwe

reply

I would watch an ultra violent depiction of Attila’s life

It might wind up with an X-Rating though, the Huns were merciless lunatics

reply

Genghis Khan

There was a TV miniseries made about Attila starring Gerard Butler, but it wasn't accurate. I'd love to see an accurate one. A movie about Boudica/Boadicea would be amazing.

reply

Pretty sure there have been two Evel Knievel flicks, one where he was played by George Hamilton and one where he played himself. Of course, I'm not in a position to say how accurate they were! I suspect not hugely 😊

reply

I just realized that, haha. I'll check them out at some point. :)
