Okay, so what's with the racial emojis?

They're classed by color:

Pale Emojis, Cream White Emojis, Brown Emojis, Dark Brown Emojis and Black Emojis.

Why the heavy emphasis on gradation by skin color? Is this really necessary? It's a bit bizarre.

I don't know, why don't you ask the people who made them instead of us?

Where's the eye roll emoji?

reply

It's still there.

What race is it?

reply

Simpsons

Where's the O.G. yellow emojis?

reply

This isn’t exactly new.

reply

You want all Emojis to be black?

reply

This seems an inconsequential thing to trouble yourself over.

What’s next, a thread about how unrealistic it is that the poo emoji has eyes and a smiling mouth??

reply

Oh I don't know, it looks pretty accurate to me.

Mate, I think you need to see your proctologist asap

What? I suppose that would make for a fascinating discussion on the POLITICS board, but it really doesn’t have anything to do with my comment. You could have LEFT it RIGHT out.

reply

That was a comment TO you, regarding the OP, not ABOUT you.

Great, thanks for sharing.

I'm here to help. 🤘

Uh, I would tend to think that separation of emojis by skin color is identity politics and leftist. I don't find it offensive. I find it silly and a waste of space. The emoticons on IMDb had no race and everyone survived.

reply

Because of that didn't people would cry racism. But it seems to stir up a racial discussion anyway.

"Children of the Ginger" ?

Sure... That will work.

reply

i dont notice skin color, but that hair!!!

reply

I think the answer is obvious, people want the emoji to represent who they're talking about.

reply

Or themselves, maybe.
