Because of lack of diversity - said they will bring it back in 2023 if standards are improved.

Good riddance - do they really think anyone cares if this mess or any other awards shows are on TV?

Awards shows = BORING. They could take them all off the air and I wouldn't even notice.

If they want to recognize certain films/shows, just put out a yearly "Best Of" list and be done with it.

Awesome.Maybe in it's place they could put something entertaining that people might actually want to watch.I tend to get tired of watching preachy woke celebrities stroke their own egos.

I thought awards shows used to be a lot of fun when they were about celebrating the movies. I used to be as excited for The Oscars as I was for The Super Bowl. It’s such a shame what they’ve become. It seems people are just dead set on ruining everything these days.

Now award shows are just about celebrities preaching and lecturing people on political and societal issues. That is why ratings are in the tank for all the awards shows, but a lot of people still flat out refuse to believe that, or in the media’s case, they just don’t want to acknowledge it.

NBC cancels 2022 Golden Globes after outcry against lack of diversity.

Maybe they will all turn on each other and implode.

Sounds like an excuse to spend a fortune on a ratings bomb.

Ironic too given it's PC bullshit like this that out people off watching in the first place.
