Depressing movies are the best ones.

reply

That kind of stuff just doesn't get made in America.

It doesn't get made often but it does get made:

Bonnie and Clyde (1967)
They Shoot Horses, Don't They (1969)
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975)
Bastard out of Carolina (1996) - this one is about child abuse

And why do Germans make such disturbing videos?

reply

It's because people keep mentioning the war.

I get all of my cultural news from Sprockets😆

In America it's all about money and big studios. I bet there are smaller companies who are making them that you just never hear about.

You are correct though, I'm European and I watch films like this.

reply

That was a very broad generalization, wasn't it?
I'm European, but I really dislike depressing movies and have no urge to watch them.

reply

Nice generalization

There are 44 countires in Europe

reply

Oh those crazy Europeans!

The Irish fellows are always drunkenly brawling, English people are obsessed with tea, Spanish dudes pick fights with bulls, the French women are smoking and masturbating all the time and those Italian guys are all in the Mafia!!!

Luckily I live in America where everything is perfect👍
