The end of movies

Is anyone else concerned? The future of movies looks bleak. Everything is political now. Forced equality. Also star wars has been destroyed. Kathleen Kennedy is to blame or I am wrong about this entire rant ....thoughts?

reply

What we need is a new place to make movies outside of Hollywood, a studio setup that doesn't operate within the Hollywood sphere, and makes the movies people want to see, rather than what Tinseltown wants us to see.

reply

Agreed

Ever watch Hallmark Channel?

reply

LOL...WHAT THE DEAF MAN HEARD🤪

reply

Yeah, but I got bored and left.

Probably the end of Hollywood. But movies are more than Hollywood. The sooner Hollywood crumbles the better for the movie industry as a whole.

However, I think the people running Hollywood aren't stupid. They're in for the money, not politics, not anything else too for that matter. After these "forced political movies" era ends, they will find other ways to sell movies. That's what they do. And they do it best.

I WAS THINKING THAT SAME THING..."HOLLYWOOD" MOVIES ENDING OR GOING TOO FAR ONE WAY ONLY WOULD OPEN THE FLOODGATE ON AN 80S VHS STYLE DELUGE OF CLEVER CHAPS SHOOTING THEIR OWN SHIT AND FINDING DISTRIBUTION...SUPPLY AND DEMAND.

No, American Free Enterprise has always found new and unique ways to do things when necessary. And I'm totally confidant that it will again.

The end of movies is when the credits roll.

reply

Except MCU movies.

reply

And the final LOTR film with it's 5000 endings, lol.

reply

I laughed

reply

Nope.

Hollywood is gonna survive. Chinese will inject as much money as necessary.

Why? Mainstream media (newspapers, magazines, movies, series) is the most effective tool to control ideological thought. Hollywood and mainstream media in general are enforcing a western suicide ideology. If you were China, wouldn't you inject money so they can keep doing it?

And they're actually doing it. Hollywood and Mainstream Media running more and more with Chinese money. Google for it.

Been happening for years already. Music died a while ago. Movies are on life support. Most of pop culture has been destroyed. That world as we knew it has gone the way of the dinosaur. The new people don't want our nice things. What you gonna do? It's the way of things.

Luckily people can search for the great works of art in the past. and hopefully what a site like this can do is for those who find these gems to spread it.

I don’t mean to sound rude asking this, but are you young? There are cycles like this that come and go. There will always be a market for entertainment. I have been here predictions of the end of this and the end of that for many years, and things bounce back.

reply

Ok, boomer.

reply

Thank you. That is kind of you to say, but the boomers are a bunch of young whippersnappers. I wish I was that young.

reply

Hell, I never thought lp records would make a comeback.

For years I’ve been watching foreign and older films. I’ve missed all the BS and the only newer films I watch are from directors I’m interested in.
