Unexpected pregnancy question.

When women claim they've become unexpectedly pregnant, what exactly are they saying -- they didn't know the guy they've become pregnant by ejaculated in them? They didn't know the guy was going to get them pregnant even though they knew he did that? He didn't ejaculate in them but his pre-seminal fluid was inside them, and they didn't think that would get them pregnant? What are they saying? It depends?

It would mean that they weren’t actively planning and trying to conceive, but became pregnant by one of those reasons you listed above.

Lots of possibilities including the ones you mentioned. Birth control is never 100%. IUD, pills, condoms, all have varying degrees of effectiveness.

reply

It means that she was using some birth control method, and it proved to be less than 100% effective.

It also *usually* means that the man she was with did not.

reply

It is an interesting term. If you’re fucking, it should almost always be expected.

reply

There is an expectancy (whether correct or not) that if you are on the pill and he's using a condom that you won't get pregnant.

reply

Lol. Yeah, I expected that. Twice.

reply

You would think in this day and age a condom would be used and the number 1 tool.
Since its effective for both pregnancy and STDs.
Birth control does not protect against STDs and seems kinda nasty.
The term cum dumpster comes to mind

reply

First of all, women aren't fertile 100% of the time. It means both contraception failed and timing was right aka: unexpected.

reply

Condoms break, iuds fall out, pills get forgotten, predictable cycles become unpredictable...

It would mean that somehow even though we've pretty much made pregnancy optional, that it eluded her.
