I personally hated those years. Don't miss it at all. Did not go to prom because I don't care for that kinda stuff.
shareI wouldn't say I miss those years but I have fond memories of them. I really enjoyed my final two years of high school and had the night of my life at our Year 12 formal, which is what we called the prom here in Australia.
It wasn't all perfect but I choose not to dwell on the negatives. All in all, I had it good.

shareI had a great time in high school. Went to Prom in my Junior and Senior year - Homecoming - all that stuff. I think it was very different back in the 60's. They were important events, but certainly not the productions that some kids have today.
shareDidn't go to prom, didn't even occur to me. I didn't date at the time and didn't have that sort of money, and it just seemed like a superficial exercise, at least for me. Sometimes I wish I had been a little more in the mainstream in HS, but I felt a bit apart from everything.

shareI had fun in high school. I had some really great friends who are still in my life.
We didn't have prom. We had a graduation banquet that had a dance but the dance wasn't really the main part. We left and went bowling in our dresses.
I went to 3 proms and still have many friends from High School. It was a blast back then but looking back it seems like a strange social experiment.
shareI enjoyed high school. But I don't miss it. Those teen years can be tough emotionally. I actually liked my sophomore and junior years much more than my senior year.
The first half of senior year was fun, but then I started to get sad and anxious in the second half of the year. I was finally comfortable and "in the groove" and it was time to leave. I was looking forward to college. But I struggle with change and transitioning to something new.
I felt like I was being kicked out! Hated going to my graduation. Wish they could've mailed my diploma to me.
