What's your favorite epidemic film?

Fatal Contact: Bird Flu in America (2006).

reply

Twelve Monkeys.

reply

I gotta concur.

reply

Virus (1980)

reply

I've wondered about that one for a long time.

reply

I was on a Henry Silva marathon when I ran across it on his filmography. Also you get Sonny Chiba! It really is an ambitious film and if I remember correctly it’s a Japanese production.

reply

Outbreak 1995

reply

I see Outbreak almost as a comedy.

reply

Yes!

reply

Blond and Blonder (2007) starring Pamela Anderson and Denise Richards. So many STD's spread in between those two "actresses".

reply

😶

reply

The first three Romero zombie films were excellent, not sure if they count but that would be a proper way to go out👍

reply

Contagion (2011) or Carriers (2009)

They are both pretty good.

reply

Carriers was really good and kind of overlooked.

Good pick!

reply

i gave carriers a re-watch a few weeks ago. it's streaming on tubitv for anyone who feels like catching up with it.

reply

Contagion (2011) might be the most realistic movie ever made about what a real world epidemic might be like and how it'd be handled. Not action packed like Outbreak or anything, but entertaining in its way.

reply

Train to Busan (2016)

It's an infected movie (like '28 days'), but it's brilliantly done.

Kairo (2001)

It mixes the pandemic genre with ghost movies. It's a weird movie, but fascinating.

reply

I love Kairo. Depressing and creepy as hell
