Worst film of the decade?

Enough of this "best of" business, let's feed off of negativity here. What's the worst film of the decade?

I choose Birdemic 2: The Resurrection.

reply

Best Night Ever

(Dis)honorable mentions:

The Human Centipede III: Final Sequence
Birdemic: Shock and Terror
The Dinner
Vacation
Before I Fall
Bad Roomies

I watched both Birdemics in the past week, and I know I’m stupid for thinking this, but I found the second one to be significantly more tolerable than the first one. Still bad though.

reply

How were you able to watch both Birdemics in one week? It's a mission to get through one of them, let alone two in such a short amount of time.

reply

The Room

reply

That came out in 2003.

reply

It's that old? The way it's been talked about lately I thought for sure it was more recent. Any idea why folks would be discussing it?
From what I've seen and heard it was REALLY awful!

reply

It's just so awful it swings back into totally entertaining territory again with good company, booze and snacks:)

reply

I haven't seen it but I get what you're saying. The first time I saw Heavy Metal I was just a kid, high as a kite and enjoying a nice beer buzz.
I thought it was AWESOME!!
Years later I realized it was pretty rough.
Still, it's a good flick to watch hanging with your buds, drinking a few buds, and smoking some bud 😯

reply

Same here with Heavy Metal
My little bunch of friends were really into comic books, Heavy Metal music, Dungeons and Dragons LOL, all of that fun 80s stuff and Heavy Metal Magazine was our bible!

I was 8 or so when the Heavy Metal movie came out and we thought it was the raddest movie ever

Watching it again a few years ago...still nostalgic good fun but wow was the animation and pacing really choppy!

reply

Yeah I didn't know how primitive it was till maybe 4 years later when I watched it sober with a mind a little more mature.
These days it's a cult classic (for some of us) and all the rough animation and choppiness will be imitated a few years from now like the shakey cam of early 70s low budget kung-fu flicks.

reply

For some reason it had a resurgence around 2010. Maybe it was released on Blu-ray or something, I don't know. The Disaster Artist also helped.

reply

I saw at least two YouTube videos about it and it was referenced in another. Something happened.

reply

YOU HAVENT SEEN THE DISASTER ARTIST???..THE ROOM IS THE NEW ROCKY HORROR.

reply

Yeah I haven't seen it. I did hear about the "Rocky Horror" treatment. That's hilarious.

reply

I LOVE THE DISASTER ARTIST..ONE OF MY FAVORITE FILMS OF RECENT YEARS.I ONLY EVER BOTHERED TO WATCH THE ROOM AFTER FALLING FOR THE FRANCO FLICK.

reply

How, if the kid who stars in it was born in 2009?

reply

That's "Room", not "The Room".

reply

The Last Airbender
Twilight Breaking Dawn
Fant4stic Four
[Edit]
50 Shades of Shite
Wokebusters 2016

reply

All solid choices.

reply

I was going to nominate Catwoman until I realised it was 2004!

reply

Another movie that I found a bit campy and ridiculous, but I still enjoyed it.
Hmm. I wonder what that says about me?

reply

That you like hot women in leather?

reply

You know that's right!

reply

Nothing wrong with that in my book.

reply

My man! 😎

reply

Sláinte my friend 🍻

reply

suicide squad would get my vote as the worst widely released film i saw.

i watch a lot of no budget trash horror, and quite a few of those are without any real redeeming qualities, but i don't think there's any sense including those in such a list. i kinda take it as a given that, by watching a lot of b-movies, i'm going to see quite a few that are fairly worthless.

reply

Movies with a big budget or ones that were wide releases in theatres have no excuse to be awful.

reply

SO...YOU THINK SUICIDE SQUAD IS WORSE THAN FANTASTIC FOUR,TRANSFORMERS THE LAST KNIGHT,GHOSTBUSTER 2016,ETC ETC ETC....SUICIDE SQUAD WAS A MEDIOCRE DISAPPOINTMENT...WORST THOUGH?...NOPE.

reply

Oh gee, I forgot about Wokebusters 2016.

reply

Yeah that one is my nomination.

reply

Fantastic Four might have been the worst major release I saw.

Granted, there's a lot of movies I avoided.

reply

One of the few movies I walked out of.

reply

I enjoyed it. I don't get the hate.

reply

Reported.

reply

Lol

reply

Left Behind (2014)

reply

Anything with Nicolas Cage is already a solid contender.

reply

True

reply

Sucker Punch.

reply

I liked that.. one..too. Oh God, I'm campy and ridiculous!

reply

I enjoyed it.

reply

I liked it too.

reply

Passion of the Christ. Sadistic! I saw it in a theater several years ago and walked out after 15 minutes and so did a lot of the audience.

reply

It made me cringe so bad! What a beating!! Call it what you like, for me it was very realistic.
I was bothered that it was being shown to entire congregations including small children. It almost traumatized me, I worry that it gave some youngsters PTSD.

reply

also from 2004, not this decade

reply

I didn't hate it. 7/10 from me.

reply

I watch "Passion of the Christ" every Christmas and Easter. My brother thinks it's weird.

What I find strange is that people went to see the Passion, then got upset that it was about the Passion. Like it wasn't supposed to have violence or the suffering he went through. That's what the story is.

That aside, different strokes for different folks. Also, how come you walked out after 15minutes? None of the blood, gore or real violence starts until a good 40mins in...save for a couple of punches.

Saw it in theaters 3 times, no one left though. Maybe you live somewhere that didn't know the Passion was about the Passion?

reply

I guess the others who walked out and myself were psychic. LOL

reply

Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice
Justice League

reply

You might be psychic lol.
The Passion is the story of Jesus' arrest and crucifixion, though. So seeing all the violence was expected.
