Right! He was such a moron. I don’t know how he could have been so blind. Orphan (2009) - A husband and wife who recently lost their baby adopt a 9 year-old girl who is not nearly as innocent as she claims to be. Really good. Kept me interested the whole time, but I thought the ending wasn't as good as it could have been. (8/10) Around the World in 80 Days: didn't like it. Since it's been several weeks since I posted in this thread, I'm going to post my movies from the last two weeks. Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again - Wasn't great to start, but ended up being good. (7/10) Detachment - A substitute teacher who drifts from classroom to classroom finds a connection to the students and teachers during his latest assignment. Very intense and depressing. (8/10) Any Given Sunday - One of the better football movies I've seen. (8/10) I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer (5/10) 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag - Not very well-known. Stars Joe Pesci and I thought it was quite funny. (7/10) Farenheit 9/11 (7/10) Godzilla: King of the Monsters - Really wanted it to be good, but it just wasn't. I couldn't care about anything that was happening. (6/10) Climax (2018) - French dancers gather in a remote, empty school building to rehearse on a wintry night. The all-night celebration morphs into a hallucinatory nightmare when they learn their sangria is laced with LSD. (8/10) Cannibal Holocaust - Wasn't very gruesome for the most part, but it was just not good. (5/10) Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) - It was good, I thought it could have been better but had a few parts that weren't very interesting. (7/10) Dances with Wolves - I was impressed by this movie. Really well shot and made. Didn't seem like it would be a good movie but it was. (8/10) The Pursuit of Happyness - Good. A tough watch in some places. (7/10) Exam (2009) - It was good, but I felt like I'd seen this movie at least 10 times already. (7/10) Little Woods (7/10) Little Monsters (2019) - A washed-up musician teams up with a teacher and a kids show personality to protect young children from a sudden outbreak of zombies. Lupita Nyong'o was great as usual. Didn’t feel that Josh Gad’s character added anything substantial to the story. (7/10) I liked it, but it was a major disappointment. I wanted it to be great. It wasn't. Some bad choices, especially in the last half hour. I felt Shyamalan really dropped the ball on that one. View all replies >
