Best films about loneliness?

Whether it's general, or institutionalized, films about loneliness are usually pretty great.

La Strada
Shadows in Paradise
Birdman of Alcatraz
Taxi Driver
Wild Strawberries

I was kind of obsessed with that movie when it came out. I ended up betting my friends $100 I would sleep alone on this little island like a mile off the coast. Parents almost called the Coast Guard LOL

How long did you last?
And most importantly was emergency self dental care with an ice skate involvedšŸ˜³?

If I remember correctly, they dropped me off on a zodiac late afternoon and picked me up the next morning around 10 or 11. The whole experience was pretty peaceful and cool. I spent some time constructing a crude shelter out of a tarp I brought and a bunch or driftwood that was laying around, and then just enjoyed my surroundings. When the sun went down, I spent the rest of the night listening to music. My girlfriend and her mom drove down to the beach and turned on the high beams for me to see. I didn't sleep much and woke up around 4 when the fishermen came out to do their thing. The sunrise was amazing. I don't regret it at all.

Parents were pissed at me for a while though haha.

I would definitely put Taxi Driver near the top. One Hour Photo and Lost in Translation came to my mind for recent films.
