New found respect for you samoanjoes. We listened to the Oresund Space Collective song by the campfire tonight. Beautiful stuff.

reply

Their stuff transports me to another dimension.

reply

Sigur Rós's Popplagið is my favourite. 17:49 mins. It's so fucking awesome.

reply

I don't know this one. It's nice.

reply

That's how you would describe the first half, not the last half, which is epic.

reply

No, still nice. There can still be some beauty in heavier stuff.

desolation row

reply

It's a very long song and Dylan had only a middling voice imo but it was pretty good anyway

He could certainly do the 'folksy storytelling' song well

reply

funny thing about taste - i find the song absolutely exquisite, including dylan's voice. later on, he got more eccentric, but not here.

reply

Perfectly reasonable
We all have our own thing and he was very good at that style of music

I get you jriley👍

reply

It's funny, there were quite a few vocalists during this period that only had middling voices, technically speaking. Dylan, Joe Cocker, Janis Joplin, and later Rod Stewart. I like them all anyway.

reply

Super talented, all of them, and all very distinctive

reply

I think that's it, even though their voices weren't technically great, they're all very distinctive, and sing or sang with their hearts and souls thrown into it.

reply

Nailed it as you often do😺

reply

Hey, it was you who nailed it my friend :)

reply

the fall - garden
mono - requiem for hell

the last 8 minutes or so of this kinda melts my brain

mojave 3 - bluebird of happiness
sonic youth - expressway to yr skull
dylan - highlands, desolation row, sad eyed lady of the lowlands

I quickly misread the topic as “Love Songs”. :-)

A great classic song for sure but most renditions run under 3 minutes...it's really not very long
