fuck marriage and children

It's a matter of opinion like any other big decision in life halo

Personally, my wife got me out of the pubs and dopey behavior like fighting and gambling...I was on a bit of a mad tear 17 years ago when I met her and she laid down the law...
Having kids forced me to be better at my work to keep a roof over everyone's head and a full pantry

I'd probably be living in a van down by the river if I didn't make this family...but again, it's all a matter of personal choices

it's not pointless to the people who want those things, & who have them & are happy to do so.
i think having children & being part of a couple is something deeply ingrained into the human condition, an elemental part of our evolutionary heritage if you like.
certainly there's a wide range of human behavior, & such things are not for everyone. it's definitely not for me.
but i think it's safe to say that for many people, they'd feel like their lives would be much less rich & would be quite empty without children, certainly.
& i don't think that ought to be dismissed with cynicism.

Single and loving it (was married). Glad I have kids, though.
