I wouldn’t call 5’9 “really short” personally but I guess it’s call relative.

Seems fairly average for the UK and US...your coworker is mistaken

Funny, just yesterday I had a discussion about how ridiculous it is he played Bane since he's so short. I'm surprised, I thought he was only 5 ft.

I don't think he's 5'9. Lots of bios exaggerate the actor's height.

I think he is. They used to say 5'11'

I do agree that 5'11 on an actor's bio usually does turn out to be code for "5' 9" lol.

And 5' 9 turns out to be 5'5! 😄

5’9” is not really short.
