would you date a woman who doesnt wear makeup

i am a woman, and i honestly think the whole industry is a scam, I dont usually wear makeup. Most women wear makeup to be more attractive, but your partner will see you without makeup eventually.

Honestly, I would prefer to see her without makeup first. Who knows how many Medusa's there are out there hiding underneath a pound of makeup.

My wife has that perfect Asian skin thing going on, so she just has a bit of lippy if we’re going out.

reply

Absolutely! I hate the current "clay face" craze!

reply

I was thinking "plastic face" but maybe that applies to plastic surgery or injections, etc. I see pictures of women whose skin doesn't even look real, although I'm not sure whether the photo has been photo-shopped (likely, these days, I guess), they're wearing excessive makeup, or both. Too many women look too perfect. Overdone eye makeup, the raccoon look, is not appealing, either. Anyway, being a straight female I don't date women, so my opinion is meaningless.

reply

Oh I don't know -- I don't think our opinion is meaningless even if the question is directed at men. I'm a straight female also but I think it's fair enough for us to comment about makeup and our own thoughts and experiences, particularly being the ones who might be most expected to wear it. I, too, really do not like the heavily made up look I see so many women sporting these days.

Of all the things that would make someone unlikable or such, I'd imagine a small amount of makeup wouldn't be a big factor.

How about the other way around: date a guy who wears makeup outright/knowingly? Like BB cream or etc.?

I'm a guy and don't really wear any, but I am aware that some of these products smooth out your skin/make your skin "pop" more and look more doll-like. I'd imagine a lot of people (especially women/girls) who use it do so to give the impression of super smooth or "perfect" skin tone. I'm talking light stuff and not like extreme eyeliner/eyelash/blush/highlighter/contouring/etc.

But I am kind of familiar with a lot of these things. I would have no problems with women solely on the basis of makeup on/off being the only determinant. I think there are much bigger things to worry about than just possible doll-like/features exaggerated to the max when it comes to actually growing to like someone more/getting to know them or etc.

Some people might use makeup or such to cover pimples/scarring too, which I can understand. I don't really judge, but yeah...

sure

I prefer no makeup.

And no panties either.

reply

Yes, The less makeup the better for me. There's too many women out and about made up like clowns these days. Eyebrows like Martin Scorsese too.

Seconded👆
