What TV Shows...

haven't you seen since they first ran.

Two of my favorites

The Single Guy
Something So Right

reply

Happytown:

A serial killer in the upper MidWest terrorizes a small ice-fishing town...
But the network cancelled it after a few eps so i never got to finish it😑

Harpers Island:

A wedding is disrupted by a psycho hell bent on murdering everyone in attendance
This was wonderful stuff... Im due for a rewatch

reply

I'm actually watching Harper's Island right now. A really trashy show! Kind of like I Know What You Did Last Summer meets any Aaron Spelling soap.😁

reply

Oh awesome!
First time?
I wont spoil!!
Its slasher brilliance

reply

Yes, first time, don't spoil!!!

reply

Qualifies for light, passable entertainment, i would label this as pop corn tv show.

reply

Stargate universe
V

reply

A bit obscure, but there was a comedy series that ran on MTV circa 1995 called "The State", which I loved. Haven't seen it since, but that group of actors continued to perform together. A number of them were in the movie Reno 911: Miami Beach.

reply

I don't know why but reminded me of one of the funniest shows I've seen in a long time.
Big Time In Hollywood, FL on Comedy Central. One season and done.
I still quote that show all the time.

reply

I just watched some clips on YouTube. Good stuff, I will have to dig up the rest.

reply

I have it on a perpetual timer.
If it ever airs again it will record.

Too boring just just buy the DVD.
Then I'd have to get up and check the mail.......just too much work.

reply

Hill Street Blues
St Elsewhere
In the Heat of the Night

reply

St. Elsewhere is my favorite TV show of all time.
I remember about 20 years ago it was on cable.
Haven't seen it since then.

Reminded me of LA Law.

reply

I am surprised somebody hasn't come up with a streaming service for older TV programs.

reply

I've seen St. Elsewhere only available on torrent sites.
I'm probably going to have to do it.
It's been 30 years. Running out of time.

I think people would pay for it.
How about an awards show channel?
24 hours of nothing but old awards shows.
I bet people would love it.

Just how much have you had to drink tonight??

reply

Not as much as you.

I still think people would watch it.
Old Oscar shows, Grammy's, etc.......

reply

Oh, okay. I wasn't thinking vintage award shows. I'll have another 🍹

reply

I'll join you.

reply

do you watch current award shows ??

reply

I haven't seen one if about 30 years.

When they gave a Grammy to Jethro Tull for Heavy Metal I stopped watching all awards shows.
Nothing against Jethro Tull but they are not heavy metal.

reply

Still controversial from what I read.

reply

Controversial - maybe
Bullshit- YES

reply

didn't Jethro Tull practically invent Progressive Rock ??

reply

Great band ! One of my favorites .

reply

They were right there in the beginning.
A true legendary band.

Just not Heavy Metal.
If I remember this was the first time they ever gave an award for Heavy Metal.
I don't think anybody knew how to vote.
They went with something familiar.

reply

Yes, trailblazers with a unique sound.

reply

No, they're not but they are a great rock band !

reply

Totally agree.

I just told hownos what I think happened.
Metallica should have won that year.
Jethro Tull has still done more for music.
I still like them better.

reply

I'm another St Elsewhere/Hill Street Blues fan. Haven't seen either of them in years.

reply

don't see them anywhere and I have 900 cable channels.

reply

Hill Street Blues was a favorite of mine.

reply

I used to watch a show called Rip Tide. Haven seen it in probably 20 years or more. Hoping they put in out on Blu Ray some day. Still remember the show after all these years.

reply

If we're talking about the Riptide that was on in the 80's I'm with you.
It was part of the NBC Tuesday night lineup.

A-Team
Riptide
Remington Steele

reply

Yes the one from the 80s. I used to watch The A-team all the time when I was a kid.

reply

I liked Riptide better than The A-Team.
What was the name of the nerdy guy who was in that show?

Remington Steele had Pierce Brosnan and Stephanie Zimbalist.
Whatever happened to her?

reply

His name was Murray, I think. I never watches Remington Steele for some reason.

reply

Murray, yes I think that's it.

You probably were like me and were told to go to bed at that time.
I always had to sneak up to watch it.

reply

Team Knight Rider. Absolute crap.

Relic Hunter is another one.

I've actually been trying to rewatch all the shows I used to watch. There are other shows from the last 10-15 years I haven't rewatched yet, but that's because it feels too early to do so.

reply

What's too early?

If you're gone tomorrow it's never too early.

reply

Haven't got the time either!

reply

Buy a watch.

reply

I'm waiting for TexasJack to buy me a Rolex for my birthday once I've dug my way out of prison.

reply

I said "released" not "escaped". Escape invalidates the deal.

reply

Same thing. They won't be looking for me. They know they'll see me again soon, anyway.

reply

Do your thing but I've got Timex for days.
No b-day required.

Prison is no problem.
I've done a watch undetected for 5 years.
Just like my dad.
No way greasy yellow hands are going to take my watch.

reply

No problem for me either. I get special treatment. All I need are my stiletto heels.

reply

You got the heels and I've got the glass tables and customers.

If only I could come up with something. Hmmmmmmm??

reply

I have no idea!πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

reply

I'll work on it sick girl.

Feeling better??

reply

Still barking like a dog, unfortunately. But thanks for asking, sweetie.😘

reply

A certain person I know had this for 3 weeks then went to the doctor.
They told her we usually don't give antibiotics for this but you sound so
bad we'll give you something. I hate doctors.

A week later = good as new.

Don't wait too long.

reply

It's only been a few days, but it's nice of you to care!πŸ˜‰

reply

If you repeat this I'll deny it.

reply

Relic Hunter was a Canadian production.

reply

I actually knew that! They also went to Holland once. Awful.

reply

I just thought of

Friday the 13th TV series
War of the World TV series.

I think they were on around the same time.
I used to love those shows.

reply

One of my favorites in my youth, Northern Exposure. I'd love to watch through it again.

reply

Nice call.
