Trust in "science"

If you want people to trust science, stop weaponizing it and using it for political division.

We don't distrust vaccines, we distrust 'this' vaccine. We distrust Fauci. For myriad, valid reasons.

We don't oppose environmental policies, we just think the Green New Deal is a cataclysmic mistake that will do more harm than good.

We're not conspiracy theorists with no grasp on reality, we just see the blatant bias in the media.

We don't believe the earth is flat, there is a lot about the COVID outbreak that makes us raise an eyebrow.

We distrust the government, because a wise man once said that government is, at its very best, a necessary evil.

It's almost comical that liberals will weaponize science and then call us idiots for not trusting it. Joseph Goebbels would be mighty proud of the democrat party.

"We're not conspiracy theorists with no grasp on reality"

You're literally exactly this.

reply

Thanks for proving my point.

Only a fool surrenders their own judgement. We need a stronger word for those who would surrender their judgement to imbeciles such as yourself. Keep playing your game. It's gonna bite your ass in the end.

reply

They don't realize when they shout "conspiracy theorist!", they are signaling their establishment brainwashing, and demonstrating inability to critically think. It's a weapon against them, not us.

reply

Groupthink, which means they're all collectively retarded. At least they have someone to do the hard stuff for them so they don't strain themselves.

reply

If you vote Democrat or watch CNN you are a conspiracy theorist with no grasp on reality.

reply

"We don't believe the earth is flat"

Ha! Typical globe-earther...DO YOUR RESEARCH!

reply

They can't be saved. In the end, they will be banging on our doors, begging for salvation.

reply

No quarter asked or given.

reply

Salvation, LOL! How do you exist in 2022?

reply

No one takes you seriously.

reply

Don't forget these scientists also claim men can be turned into women and women into men, they advocate starting the replacement hormone therapy really young. Has anyone asked Fauci his stance on hormone replacement for 5 year olds? I bet he's all for it.

reply

they are coming after the poor innocent children these devils. i will die before taking this mcfranklinvax

Texas makes better vodka than Russia. Suck it comrade.

There are two factors that play into this whole mess:

1.) Politicians and Media are often too stupid to tell popular/junk science apart from the real deal. Either that, or they ignore the real science when it doesn't suit their narrative.

2.) If they are not ignoring the real science, they are paying unscrupulous scientists, or actors pretending they are scientists to "back them up with facts" that suit the narrative these people are pushing.

You see, real science can be proven over and over again through experimentation. Popular/junk science can be proven false every time, and it pisses off people who don't like the results.

I've been trying to tell my brother, "It's not a conspiracy theory when it's happening right in front of you."

I was reading an article on American Thinker a year ago that compares how the Powers That Be use "science" now to control people, vs. how they used to use religion to do it back in times past. It's eerie how similar their methods are.

reply

i.e., it's not about not believing in science. It's about not falling for false claims/beliefs in the name of science, e.g.:

1.) Being a woman (or a cat) is a choice, not a biological, immutable, measurable reality
2.) Climate alarmism is based on actual averaged temperature readings, not 100% concocted modeling and purged past data
3.) Cloth masks, which have pores larger than 1 micron, will stop an aerosolized virus that's a mere .1 to .3 microns in size
4.) Having light pigmented skin means you're inherently racist, and is not irrelevant genetic happenstance.
5.) Having dark pigmented skin means you're inherently incapable, not an equally intelligent, competent individual
6.) Coddling people is positive for society; it does not enable undesirable, counterproductive, self-destructive behavior

reply

Sounds about right.

reply

That phrase "believing in science" is part of the issue. Science, like you said, isn't something you worship or blindly follow. It's based on facts and hard reality.

And you are correct on all 6 accounts.

reply

Very true. If any statement or claim violates any of the follow tenets:

1) Science is the opposite of belief
2) As soon as science achieves a perceived consensus (and is repeated without question), it's transformed into a belief
3) Science is ever-skeptical, always questioning, never believing
4) 100% conviction = belief

...it should be flagged with suspicion.

Science should NEVER be espoused with 100% conviction. It's quite possible for a belief to coincidentally align with reality, but it's a belief nonetheless, leaving no room for improvement/refinement via the scientific process. Belief corrupts science.

The ruling elite have always used religion to control the masses. I made this realization studying the ancient Egyptians. Liberals have denounced Christian religions and adopted another in its place, without even realizing it. Science is their chosen deity. Not in the way that scientists seek understanding. They don't want to understand it. There is no critical thinking, at all. They just want to idolize it and use it as an appeal to authority in whatever way supports the liberal narrative.

reply

Yeah, I remember reading about how much power and influence the Catholic Church had over Western Europe going back over 1,000 years. The Eastern Orthodox church wasn't much better in Eastern Europe.

A pity those dumbocrats don't realize they're doing the exact same thing Soviet Russia did. Of course, it's common in communist countries to worship The State or the personality of the dictator in charge, while all religion, especially Christianity, is stomped out in a fashion similar to what the Nazis did to the Jews in WWII.

reply

We're talking about lessons from history here. Liberals are fully immune from those.

reply

“Science” is trustworthy. It’s based on the scientific method. You have a theory based on observations. It can be proven and the observations repeated.

The modern left has corrupted science via institutions of so-called “higher education” and by funding who’s objective is to push an agenda.

Man made climate change is an unproven theory. It can never be proved. So they use “consensus” as evidence. Real Science does not take votes. Politics does. And now you know what’s behind so-called “man made climate change”. Same people who were being global cooling, warming, ozone hole, peak oil. They’re always wrong. And there’s always a group of ignorant lemmings like Kuatorises who will lap it up.

reply

Lil Craigy believes in 'the science' that professes the earth to be flat.
