You've missed me, you really missed me!

Wow - gone for a week, and you guys really missed me. Especially Gubbio - who started not one, but two threads concerned about my whereabouts. WOW! I think he was on 'suicide watch' for the past seven days.

And other messages from other trolls who have pretended I'm on their 'ignore list', yet noticed I was missing, too ! WOW! And to my friends on the forum, who tried to calm the others down - thank you (but it wasn't necessary...I've been enjoying their hysterical responses and reactions!).

So where was I the past week? There are hundreds of guesses, and none of them right . I shall tell you, and set the record straight...

With about a 24 hour notice, I volunteered to go to a seven day work retreat / conference on Information Literacy, covering 'the Digital Divide'. (This was sponsored by my employer.) The DD is a term which refers to the giant gap between those who have easy access to computers/smartphones and the internet (and other technology), and those who don't have any access. It's a social challenge that has a great impact on cultures everywhere, and the impact on sustainability and retention for all. This is especially alarming (as we experienced) during this important election year.

We were divided into two groups - haves and have nots. I was in the latter - no laptops, no internet, no smart phones, nothing for one week (which is really a challenge in this day and age). In our group, we received our news from a handful of newspapers each day, as well as television - free TV, not cable networks. So we relied on ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS for news each night. There was a contact phone number which family members had access to, and if there was an emergency we could then use our cell phones (no one had an emergency).

To say the least, it was an exceptional week - one which included the ending of the sham impeachment trial, which kicked off the T-rump attack tour, the Iowa debacle, the NH primary, the dropouts, the Gayle King-Snoop Dog war, and more (including news to catch up on in my homestate) - where we had no internet access, just newspapers and local TV.

The attendees (all educators) were made up of liberals, socialists, independents, T-rumptards, and never-T-rumpers who called themselves 'real conservatives'. You could tell who the T-rumptards were at the conferences, just by the way they 'reasoned' with others, and their thought patterns (or lack of such).

It was a very engaging, enlightening week where I learned so much - and what is critical to the election season. You don't realize what you take for granted each day until you don't have it.

Now I'm back - and will be responding to some older threads of the past week as time allows.

Thank You, Gubbio and the other trolls - you really missed me not being here.

I enjoy reading your posts, glad you've returned!

reply

I may or may not have said it before, but I do admire that you keep up the good fight in the face of some very awful pubs. I try to keep my comments reasonably civil, not attacking the other person directly with insults but implying anyone who follows their argument isn't a thoughtful and compassionate 'murican. And I just don't have the stomach for searching for citations and extended arguing and insulting, but I am really glad we have at least a couple Real Americans with solid humanitarian values here, which includes you, my friend.

reply

Thank you so much. And I, of course, feel the same about your contributions to this forum.

reply

Welcome back! I always look forward to reading your posts which keep me informed about the latest shenanagans from Trump & co. Yeah, I admit having some withdrawal symptoms. LOL.

reply

why did you run away when I dismantled you?

reply

Oh good, now do your job and fill the boards with the usual so it isn't overrun by just the right. Keelai can't do it alone :P.

Two responses from you, too! Within two days of each other.

"What about when Frogarama left?

Or was he a fairly forgettable poster?"

"I couldn't begin to guess but it is a BLESSING that I'm not taking for granted.
(I should say I dont wish ill will onto him by any means, so I do hope he is at least not physically hurt)"

His name should be "IfYoureBoredImHere"

I was thinking “ ImReallyBoringHere”. Because she really is.

Of course, my favorite responses were from AmeriGirl, who insisted she had me on ignore until I was gone last week - then she knew everything about me and what I posted. LOL !

reply

I knew it was too good to be true. 😜🙄

reply

2 threads started by you Gubbio! You were so concerned about my whereabouts! I'm humbled.

reply

I'm humbled.

You should be.

I'm just happy to learn that Mrs Pelosi's prayers worked, and that you're OK!

You know, Mrs. Pelosi prays for everyone -- when she's not preying ON them. 🤪

reply

2 threads from Gubbio! You took time away from monitoring the dormant Judge Judy board to come here and worry about my whereabouts! I'm not only humbled, I'm honored.

reply

I've noticed that Gubbio seems to use that one emoji a lot...kind of like Sandman. In fact, his personality, syntax and writing style are all rather identical to Sandman.

...NOT that I'm implying anything...

reply

For years Gubbio was the monitor of the Judge Judy boards - on IMDB and here. His day was centered around JJ, poor thing. Well, JJ boards sprung up everywhere with the demise of IMDB boards, and the ones he joined are pretty dormant (the one I joined is not - it's very active and entertaining). Somehow he followed me here - I guess he's still looking for some attention.

reply

I'll say! He's like a little dog trying to hump your leg. You keep kicking him off and he keeps coming back. I know the feeling. I had a couple IMDB carry-over stalkers as well.

Poor things are starved for attention. :)

reply

Aren't they adorable?

reply

They're most adorable when they're chasing their own tails. They tend to do that a lot here. :)

reply

Like they are since I’ve returned.

And, you're a complete idiot.

I've never been or used a "sock" in my life, and when people get paranoid and start accusing others of being "socks," they simply sound stupid and ridiculous.

reply

I'm my experience, posters like you often turn out to gave sock accounts. That's the price that comes with acting like an idiot with every post. :)

reply

Could you kindly conduct this analysis elsewhere?
You begin to bore me.

reply

You have no idea. This idiot dteam6 is a complete nutjob. The deranged quotes gathered here are just the tip of the iceberg.

reply

I read that post when you originally wrote it, but I had no idea who you were referring to. Thanks for the heads-up.

Clear case of TDS.

Sad, isn't it?

reply

The most extreme case I've seen on this board. dteam6 is a leftist but he's not just a hack going through the motions of feigning outrage. His entire worldview is genuinely warped by his hatred, to the point where he's openly talked about getting headaches from Trump and his supporters.

It's tragic.

reply

"Tragic" would be cancer or heart disease.
These people are just, plain crazy.

reply

LOL! Welcome back.

The kids here were practically throwing confetti over the prospect of you being gone. You can almost SEE the sinking faces! XD

I'm glad you're back. You're a veritable force of nature that we need around here.

The very fact that so many of our usual suspects were practically throwing a party when they thought you were gone is all the indication one needs to know just how bothered they are by your posts.

A job well done. Someone's gotta keep these children in line and you're one of the few here with the energy to do it. ;)

reply

Thanks my friend!
