Agreed, many jokes overstayed their welcome. I noticed that too. But in Thor's case it makes sense if Asgardians consistently, because he's supposed to live for 2,000+ years, so the brief 11-year period we've seen him he shouldn't age at all, based on Asgardian physiology. 11 years for us is 13% of our lifespan, for an Asgardian that's only .5%. Combination of long and medium shot. Not a CG hater here, thought the CG bear in "The Revenant" was incredibly done and believable. In Prey the CG bear was not well done and looked animated in many shots. Further, other animals looked poor at times (the CG lion looked fine mostly but it was also helped by being in near darkness). I think it's slightly better than Predators. I feel like the cast is more likable, vs the cast of Predators, while cool varied backgrounds never really clicked for me. Also, the Predator is this feels more threatening vs the super Predator in Predators. Also the action is better framed and lighted, vs Predators was really visibly dark. Yeah, as a climatic scene it was just poorly written. As a race of skilled hunters, it comes off as sheer stupidity to shoot a weapon without knowing where the auto targeting system is pointed to. It's goofy, like Gomer Pyle shooting an auto targeting rocket launcher without seeing where the targeting computer is pointing to. Unless I missed something... It appears it's set to auto target, she didn't have to do anything. But it begs the question, why would the Predator fire the weapon without his mask and visual targeting knowing it could go anywhere? As a climax scene, it really should've been scripted better. Like, having his mask knocked off by another tribe member or the dog right as he was taking the shot then having it hit him. Oh well, it's a plot hole unless someone else can explain it better. While I agree with many of your observations, I would say there are exceptions. A good barometer to use is the Rotten Tomatoes "Audience Score", which generally speaking is less subject to that bias you rightly point out. Right now the Audience score stands at 82%, which is still pretty good (compared to the critics bias 93%). Comparatively speaking "The Predator" Critic & Audience score is 33% and "Predators" Audience score is 52%. Over time these scores tend to drop a bit after the initial excitement/fanatics review. Predator 2 was horrible, if anything it's overrated. When the main lead sucks and is unbelievable, it pretty much tanks the whole movie. Also the stupid Rastafarian thing was cringe. Cool kills and weapons, but that doesn't redeem a film. 1. Predator 2. The Predator 3. Prey 4. Predators . . . 5. Alien Vs Predator 1 6. Alien Vs Predator 2 7. Predator 2 Agreed, definitely not touching the OG, but in the same conversation with The Predator and Predators. I thought it was much better than Predator 2 and the Aliens vs movies. Completely agree. It was ok, but definitely too heavy handed in its messaging, it's like the Director/Writer never heard of subtlety. Yep, a very depressing film. Love #13, that was so dumb, would've been nice to subvert expectations and have a dinosaur eat someone who did that in one of the scenes. Completely agree, both were very much miscast. I also liked Fallen Kingdom, and Dominion is close probably #5 of the six for me, just bad and wasted the old cast members. Pratt felt like he was sleepwalking, and the overall plot was just non-sensical. Yeah, she was a great addition to the cast and seemed to be one of the few having fun in the movie, hope to see her in more stuff. Yep, so awesome, self-deprecating humor, I LOVE IT! At least the writers realized it too. 1) Jurassic Park . . 2) Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom . . . . 3) Jurassic Park: The Lost World 4) Jurassic World 5) Jurassic World: Dominion 6) Jurassic Park 3 Soldier may have similar powers as her, but his appear much stronger than hers.
