I think Homelander having Butcher's stepson there changed the whole dynamic. That was really poorly done, have no idea either. At least in Deadpool it made sense. Yep, it was poor script writing on the movie's part to assume the audience watched WandaVision to understand the main villain's turn in the movie. They should've somehow expressed this in the movie before her initial scene/reveal. Agreed, the wokeness in this film felt very forced and shoehorned in. Agreed. Kidder and latest TV Lois are nothing to write home about. There were definitely hotter when Kidder was cast, but who knows if any of them would pulled off the chemistry with Reeve's like she did... Superman Movie Lois Screen Tests https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d37I2Z-Dpmc It was done ok. I love Superman but felt like the scene could've been done better. It was in a boring setting (some random dirt road vs say saving her at a climatic moment), she reacted poorly - rather than full on awe and admiration, instead, she was like "ok, I'm going to leave now because I'm going to pout b/c you should've told me sooner". And most importantly I did not like his response to her logical question about fooling everyone. She asked a basic question that has always driven Superman fans (and non-fans alike) up the wall, how in the hell can no one tell Clark is Superman, especially in his home town? Paraphrasing here, she's like, "how did no one piece it together that you're Superman Clark?", and his lame response is, "People will see what they want to see." WHAT??? That's such a non-answer. They could've easily wrote it vaguely, like, my Kryptonian supercomputer theorizes that my biosignature may emits some type of masking which seems to only abate when I want to reveal my identity, or totally joke his way out of it, well these are spectacular glasses Lana!...just something other than what we got... Have to agree, that one-two of New Hope and Empire really just allowed the Star Wars name to coast on those gems. But I'd argue most IP's have done this, Terminator, Predator, Aliens, Rambo, etc. Also, there's still been a hit in there or two afterwards (i.e. The Mandalorian, Rogue One). Agreed, never been a big fan of Qui Gon (or The Phantom Menace overall). But they could've at least done him justice here, what a waste. Felt totally forced and poorly inserted into the episode. Would've worked much better before a big crisis when he really needed him, with some type of sage advice or reveal. Agreed, definitely should have used the tech, I mean they did in the Fett series for a "certain character" and it looked great! I'd argue that Scott Lawrence does a very good Vader voice... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKP3E2YklR4 89 Agree with most of your comments, great review summary points! Yep, totally surprised me but respect to Ghostface, nice line! Scream 5 was worlds better. #4 was terrible, #5 was superb. You can survive a lot more than once or twice, just a few years ago a woman was stabbed 100 times and survived, so it's not as hard to believe as you may think. Woman stabbed 100 times survives https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-sussex-37386707 Great review, hit on all the points, agreed! My 2nd favorite Scream movie behind #2. It's a little better, but honestly they're both garbage compared to 1, 2 and 5. I think it was more like a jealous rant, like he could survive but they couldn't as mortal cops. Agreed on all counts, bizarre casting! Because it was terrible, just like 3 before it.
