Made it halfway through and then ffw'd to the end...don't think I missed much

It's a slow-burn if you're up to it.
I wasn't.

Don't worry. You didn't miss anything. This was no Black Mirror or Ex Machina.

When you begin nearing the wacky, over-the-top end, you realize the film was much worse and more shallow than its mysterious sci-fi tone initially suggested.

reply

Pretty much. It was a semi cool idea, that didn't really pan out.

reply

Same here. It was so boring and nothing happened.

I’m surprised that Miles and Chris did this movie.

Bad movies like this make bad name for other sci-fi movies. The inly reason I started watching it was because it had sci-fi premise. And then such let down.

I wonder what the budget is. Looks very cheap. But its netflix, they could have dump 50 millions on it to lose it all. It would flop so hard if it was released in theaters.

Ya, I said to my Wife while watching - WTH, the set design budget for this is only around $10k, Only 3 or 4 rooms.
The opening was so promising, playing Supertramp flying in the pontoon plane, reminded me of Fantasy Island.

reply

It's a pretty solid 7/10 from me. You're right, almost nothing happened as it felt a bit empty, but I liked the atmosphere and sets. And plus Chris and Miles were fun to watch, so that's maybe why I found it kind of watchable.

I liked it, but it's just another Netflix film that will be forgotten about a week later.

reply

The padding is ridiculous. The suicide was a well done scene though.

reply

I made it about 20-30 minutes.

reply

So your basing it on about a third of the film you've watched, thanks that was worth your opinion!

reply

I agree with your sarcasm. The first half hour was quite compelling, and I loved the music.

reply

Not sure you can give an opinion on a film when you only watched half then skipped to the end.

reply

Or you can. Knowing it is better skipping it than wasting time on an empty, garbage movie made because Netflix has money
